If winning requires debating any and every troll then I think I'll take a few losses thanks.

I disagree that laughter is some magical truth test, at least not in all cases, but if were then... has Trump ever made anybody laugh? I mean, apart from at that disabled journalist (wow. very truth) and the farce that is his presidency.

Its easy to surprise people if you just make s#!t up.

Reminds me of that one time Ronald Reagan joked about nuking the Soviet Union with the mike switched on...

... except Donald does it all the time and keeps a straighter face. Or maybe he is not joking? Is that why he elicits such uncomfortable laughter?

For some reason i have an insatiable love for people losing their shit as a group. Just like in this video, when people are screaming, jumping about and going apeshit. I especially love it when one of them pretends to faint or fall over and everyone clamours round to prop them up.

I think i've seen it here recently in some sort of basketball best celebrations compilation possibly. A good place to see it is in the crowds of fighting game competitions (like Super Smash Bros), when someone pulls off a feat of inhuman prediction, nerve and timing. Sometimes they're almost competing to pull the funniest face/stunt and it has me crying with laughter.

I must sound really strange.

Jim Jefferies on Bill Cosby and Rape Jokes

SDGundamX says...

Wow, didn't expect to see the comments section explode like this. Seems like some people took what he was saying seriously in spite of the multiple disclaimers he gives the audience that this whole bit is a joke.

I could absolutely see why someone who is an actual Cosby rape victim and takes Jefferies's words seriously would be offended. I could absolutely see someone not being able to transcend their own personal pain in order to see the irony in this bit. But this seems like a wholly different kind of joke from the one Dave Tosh allegedly made in which it was really unclear whether he was joking or not about inviting audience members to rape a woman for daring to heckle him during a set. I don't see any malice in this routine whatsoever.

If you don't find it funny, that's fine. Every joke doesn't have to be funny to every single person on the planet. And if you don't approve of rape jokes, that's fine too. Like Reginald D. Hunter says, go ahead and withhold your laughter. "But take it from the rest of us who did laugh--it was fuckin' funny."

Donald Trump Gave Charlie Sheen Fake Platinum Cufflinks - Th

WeedandWeirdness says...

Laughter is good for the soul.

Harlequinn, it's The Graham Norton Show, and a silly story Charlie Sheen told. I was surprised that Charlie Sheen is even being booked, because is he even relevant anymore? Then he tells this story. Perhaps to be more relevant.

No one said, "See, Trump is awful, and Charlie Sheen thinks so, it must be true!"

Why be negative and mean? Sinking to a new low...come on, really?
Why haven't you posted more than one video? Honestly curious, not being spiteful, but you must have your reasons.

People Live Here - Rise Against

eric3579 says...

My God is better than yours
And the walls of my house are so thick
I hear nothing at all

I followed you out in the storm
But it carried you off
And I burned every picture of yours
Was that not enough?

My gun is bigger than yours
So let's arm the masses
And see what the bastards do then
Walking tall once set us apart
Now we're down on all fours
Do you cry my name in the dark
Like I do yours?

These storms are getting stronger now
Trusses all bend and sway
Lightning hits, the power goes out in the fray
As the waves crash high
And the shoreline disappears
I will scream to the sky
"Hey, people live here."

My dreams are not unlike yours
They long for the safety
And break like a glass chandelier
But there's laughter and oh there is love
Just past the edge of our fears
And there's chaos when push comes to shove
But it's music to my ears

May you be in Heaven before the Devil knows you're dead
May these winds be always at your back

'Cause when we're all just ghosts
And the madness overtakes us
We will look at the ashes
And say, "People lived here."

From the penthouse to the holy martyr
Sea to shining sea
From the coffins full of kindergarteners
Is this what you call free?
From the hate that drips from all your crosses
Are your hands so clean?

There's a wildfire and it's spreading far
From sea to shining sea

When we're all just ghosts
And the madness overtakes us
I will scream to the sky, yeah I'll scream to the sky
Yeah I'll scream to the sky
"Hey, people live here."

Slow and Tell - Donald Trump on Bernie Sanders

Russell Howard On Jesus

transmorpher says...

I agree with you, and that's the point I was trying to make (obviously poorly!). When someone makes a joke about almost any religion, there are no death threats, no mobs in the streets, and no leftists talking about christophobia.

AND that's how it should be! It's brilliant that we can all criticize and poke fun, and the result is laughter, not violence and destruction.

But for some reason there is one religion where death threats and mobs on the streets would be the expected out come if a joke like that was made. And there would be regressives in newspapers like the Guardian talking about how culturally insensitive it is, and how it's phobic etc.
