Bonus- Another “smoking gun” fails today with Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s business partner who testified that on some occasions during dinner, even some business dinners, Hunter would put Joe on speaker phone to say hello, but never, not one time in 10 years did he ever discuss any business when his father was on the line. They talked about Bo, who had cancer, and the family, and some pleasantries. He also testified to having no knowledge whatsoever about any bribes to Hunter or Joe. Republicans had hyped this witness as the smoking gun connecting Hunter’s business dealings with Joe, and said he had personal knowledge of bribes…turned out to be the exact opposite of what Republicans claimed, as usual.
(Edit) Er mer gerd…just heard the insanity they’ve been feeding you all weekend about him…claiming the DOJ was trying to put Archer in prison Sunday night to stop him from testifying because he recently lost his appeal on fraud charges (completely unrelated to Hunter) and as is the normal process the DOJ sent the letter to the judge that starts the incarceration process that weeks or months later ends with him actually in prison serving the sentence he’s already received….and when no such obstruction or imprisonment happened they declared victory against the weaponized DOJ that they say caved to their strength and now allowed him to testify….to and about absolutely nothing criminal! You fools! This is the important work your reps are doing on your behalf….idiotic nonsense hearings with no purpose no evidence and no power to do anything about anything. As much as I want to laugh as this idiot (you thought a store in Haight Ashbury was going to support Trump? BWHAAHHWHAHAHA), the store really is in the wrong here.

He paid for a service and didn't receive what he asked for.

If this was a christian shop that had printed "fags" on a gay pride shirt (for example), we would be (rightly) criticising them for it.

If they really objected to the message, then they should have refused service.

Also, the employee responsible was fired and the shop formally apologized to the kid.

Interestingly, this has become a microcosm of the election. Their reviews are currently sitting at 2.5 stars on yelp, meaning it's a dead split between Trump supporters/haters.
Google reviews, OTOH, are at 1 star.

The fucking sad thing is, I love seeing the videos where cops are doing the right thing. That cop that was dancing in the gay pride march, the guys that help out the cyclists when the motorist does the wrong thing, the cop that defended the people handing out flyers in the airport etc.

These people are good guys and girls, honest people doing a fucking hard job.

But if they speak out when they see the sort of shit that get's put up every other day around here, they get harassed etc. If they stay silent, they become complicit. Having worked in a public service job for a long time, I intimately understand the awful drag of complacency and apathy where you see shit happening for so long and nothing you do seems to make a difference, but it still becomes a choice of letting it happen, or continuing to fight.

I'm pretty sure that when you ask the citizens in a warn torn country where guns are actually a requisite to survival what they feel about people carrying guns out in the open and i'll bet they don't like it either. They just have to do it. You, on the other hand, carrying one in USA don't actually need it. If you open carry, you just like to scare people.

The whole "i'm allowed to do what i want" theme goes out the window when the symbol in question actually is designed to kill living things. I had to think hard what is the difference between other freedoms, say, gay pride parade. You have to just accept it no matter what you think about it. One could say the same about freedom to carry guns but that's where i draw the line: does it kill you or not. If it doesn't, deal with it and move on. If it does, remove it from the public. Not against guns in the privacy of your own home but they DO NOT belong to streets unless they are carried by a professional.

And no, i don't trust the law enforcement blindly but they enforce laws that we have allowed our representatives to put in place.. if you have a problem with laws, you take it where the laws are made, not to the people enforcing them... And definitely you don't scare everyone else getting one either, which this "open carry activism" WILL lead to: you see guns out in the open, "I think need one now just to pop to get some milk, better get my AK".. Stupid stupider gun-nut. The same people are "rolling coal" plus a host of other symptoms.

Having more guns will just leave to more violence, that is a fact that is definitely shown in study after study. The way non-carrying citizens react to this should be a clear sign: society does NOT want that. Isn't that enough reason to stop?

I spent countless hours here for years, just enjoying the show. Staying out of all this, in the end at least, unimportant chatter. I came for the videos. Then somebody starts singing about sluts and I end up with an account. What can I say? I like sluts.
I spent much time reading and skipping over the posts of @shinyblurry here. And I still wonder why people feel the need to argue with him in such detail and length. He talks a lot about his faith in God and Jesus but what it come down to is this: He believes in The Bible.
The Bible features God and Jesus and all that but most important of all, it features a heckload of arguments for all kinds of things that are often in direct conflict.
Earlier in this thread, somebody threw a Bible quote about how rape victims have to marry their rapist in @shinyblurry's face and he actually started to explain (correct me if I misunderstood) how it's a punishment for the rapist that he has to pay money and marry the woman if the father chooses that.
I have money to burn. Is Jessica Alba married and where does her dad live? She's super hot and I *need* that kind of punishment. God wants her to fulfill her marital duties, right? If she's not available, I could make a list.
Now, I could argue this IMO rather distasteful idea with him, quoting the Bible back and forth, using other philosophical sources for arguments (I'm sure Hitchens mentioned rape somewhere sometime) but all that doesn't matter.

You know, science failed to disprove the existence of god. They can't do that yet. But they can disprove The Bible, at least parts. And yet, they still side with that darn book.
They don't care about God, the don't even care about Jesus. They care about what they read about them. They care about their perception of it.
Telling @shinyblurry that Jesus was a little, brown, jewish Hippie who got mixed up with existing mythology is like telling a fourteen year old that Ed Cullen is, by his own admission, a creepy murderer who stalks underage girls 80 years his junior. They don't want to hear it because that is not what the book said. They book didn't say that god created the natural laws of physics, chemistry and biology and set them upon the universe to wreak havoc until dinosaurs showed up. The book said it took 7 days. And ribs and dirt.
The Bible says so. Nothing else matters.
That's why it's pointless to argue scripture with him. The book is everything and allows so brilliantly for circular logic and cherry picking. It worked with slavery and how many are willing to argue nowadays in front of a TV camera for it? But gays are not slaves and women can always be picked on. Some wrong ideas are easier to conceal behind a book cover than others.
The Bible is everything to him, God and Jesus are just featured players. In the end they could be replaced by Donald Duck and Batman, they just weren't around back when they started to write it.
