Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex

cloudballoon says...

The visuals would be trashed by a video gamer players if this is served as an in-game footage in 2022 on PC/consoles. I feel only Gozilla's rendering and movements felt natural. Everything else is pretty bad and unexciting. The city... I think even Microsft Flight Simulator got better models and more "lived-in" than this. Need more realistic filters and more sirens/screaming BGN at the minimum.

I can go one better. I haven't played AC or WoW. I'm also a RPG gamer who prefers stealth over brute force.

Just too many other options.

Why Everyone Is Quitting Their Job To Play Call of Duty

vil says...

It is thought provoking and actually inspired me to look into some of the legitimate points and accurate perceptions, revisit Marx and chuckle at some of the later wild jumps and extrapolations.

Gamers would rule the world if they ever could be bothered to get up off the couch.

Also I was totally mesmerised by the story combined with the images, while it does get repetitive, would be an excellent 45 minute video if the crap could be cut out.

PC guy is BACK! Watch him troll Apple's MacBook event ('I'm

cloudballoon says...

Personally, Apple hardware is worth the price if you're a graphic design/media creator, mainly because of the color fidelity, gamut range and consistency of its monitors "out of the box. But I absolutely HATE the OS UI. If your not tech savvy then it's a right option with you don't want to fiddle with things, HW or SW. Gamer shouldn't consider Mac though.

Windows PC on the other hand, you get far more power and customizability for the buck. Yeah, it takes research for the best HW for your needs. But you can easily upgrade anything on a PC system, except laptops of course.

My Windows rarely hangs. My Windows 10 systems been running super smooth for years. I know what I open in my emails and sites I visit.

Nowadays, MacOS really isn't that much safer than Win10. Besides, the biggest scam victims are not caused by either OSes but their own stupid, ignorant behaviors online.

True Facts : Dragonflies

Stormsinger says...

Just one? He was probably one of those oddball gamer dragonflies, hoping to snag a few minutes of playtime.

Payback said:

I had a workstation set up in my garage. Every year, about midsummer, a dragonfly would fly up in front of my face, hover, checking out what I was doing onscreen for about 10-15 seconds, then leave. Coolest freaking thing ever. Must have been something about the refresh rate or colours, but still hilarious.

Separation Anxiety

Casually Explained: Evolution V - Millennials vs Baby Boomer

TheFreak says...

This is about the newbs and the pros. Basically, the ones who have enough leisure time and lack of responsibility to sit around and bitch about the game.

The Gen Xers are just gamers. We know that arguing over the game mechanics isn't going to sway the devs.

Play the game, collect your phat loots, don't rush to the level cap, and take some time once in a while to appreciate the open world game design.

Of course the game is unbalanced. But nevermind the campers, griefers and OP players who exploited the glitches, find the side missions you enjoy and equip a sunscreen potion...you'll be glad later that you did.

Response to Trump's Video Game Montage - #GameOn

ChaosEngine says...

Because violence is a part of life and games reflect that, the same as movies, books, tv, etc.

It would be nice if the “non-gamer” part of society would grow up and finally realise that games aren’t just for kids. If you want to ban violent games, you have to ban the Godfather, the Lord of the Flies, Breaking Bad and Guernica.

newtboy said:

I fully support the sentiment, and agree there are tons of non violent games, but many shown here are violent games. I wonder why they included them.

The Game that is pissing off the Alt Right

Mordhaus jokingly says...

As a lifetime gamer, I can say with a clear conscience and a decisive tone that there is really no better feeling than to kill me a large swath of digital Nazis.

Nazi ain't got no humanity. They were the foot soldiers of a Jew-hatin', mass murderin' maniac and they need to be dee-stroyed.

Colbert To Trump: 'Doing Nothing Is Cowardice'

scheherazade says...

Either way, he brought plenty more than needed.

Sidenote :
Everyone who shoots regularly (sport, not hunting) has thousands of rounds.
A 1k brick of 223 is ~28c per shot.
If you buy boxes of 20 each at the range, you're gonna pay closer to ~50c per shot.
If you go to the range 2x per month, firing 200 rounds per trip (6 or 7 mags worth), that's 2.5 months to empty a 1k brick.
~110 bucks/month if you buy 1k at a time.
~200 bucks/month if you buy individual boxes at the range.
The choice is simple. 1k bricks to save money.
So if you have 5 different caliber rifles, you have 5 1k bricks.
This is one of those "out of touch" sort of things with TV coverage. They make it sound like thousands of rounds is a lot to have.

Granted, I know hunters that have 40 rounds to their name, and it will take them 10 years to shoot all 40. One shot at season start to check zero. Then 1 or 2 more to take 1 or 2 deer. But they don't like to shoot, they like to hunt.

I googled 'rapid fire triggers'.

Geissele, Timney, Hypertouch, these are all normal triggers.
They are premium offerings. Smooth, low grit, low creep, clean crisp break.
They don't actually have any function that artificially increases rate of fire.
The marketing can fool you if you don't know what they are.
(It's like buying a "no name mouse" vs a "gamer mouse". One feels better, but you still click just as fast.)

Tac Con 3MR does have its own gimmick. It does a partial reset on every fire. Your finger still has to move forward and back to fire again, so you're still limited by your reaction time. In reviews it's no different than a normal trigger rate of fire wise.

4473 just asks if you've ever been convicted of a felony that could (not did) have had a 1 year sentence. That's a pretty broad set.

AFAIK, they all screw your right to vote. I could be wrong.

Note :
Sorry about edits mid your reply.
I have a habit of "word processing" in place - out of fear that I'll click back or something and lose my text.

20+ more at home, thousands of rounds and explosives in his car, so he didn't bring everything.

360rpm is nothing to sneeze at.

Just Google rapid fire trigger.

Edit: most minor felonies can be expunged, and they come in classes, a, b, and c.
