Interesting formations, I've never seen them before. But what's with the creepy music? Sounds like something you'd hear on a tour bus ride through Hell.

I'm guessing this is going to be short-format "webisode" type thing, with Picard delivering monologues as if to an interviewer. That would probably be very good for what it is, but not something I'd get particularly enthusiastic about.

The formation of the organization was announced on March 14, 2013 by Herring Networks, Inc., an independent and family-owned national video programming company owns and operates OAN and sister channel AWE (formerly WealthTV; the initialism being an acronym for "A Wealth of Entertainment"). To clarify a Thousand Year Storm isn't only going to happen once in a thousand years. There is always a probability that it can happen. Some of this could easily be 'bad luck'.

The phenomenon that created this situation is known as cell training, and happens all over the place. However, it is worthwhile noting what else they say, "...scientific studies have shown a statistically meaningful uptick in the frequency of extreme rain events over the eastern United States. Statistically, over the long term, these types of extreme floods are probably becoming more common, in areas that are normally rainy as a result of global warming."

What this means, at least the way I understand it, is that statistically in this region we can expect a higher probability of these 'xxx year storms' every time conditions are favorable for cell training style weather.

We can expect more of these types of storms, simply because the climate is in a format that creates more ideal conditions. These ideal conditions are not limited to just this type of weather, either. Gulf hurricanes, tornado alley tornadoes, and other 'regional' weather patterns are also experiencing 'ideal' conditions to allow stronger, more damaging storms to develop.

It really says something to me when the President of the organization that sponsors the event makes a statement distancing themselves from the host.

What folks don't realize is that Anteres Autotune is THE standard in the studio. Every pop star and song gets their dose.
That, ultra compression on everything and ultra repetition in production, gone are the days of creamy analog bliss by good musicians, performing a well-written song actually written by the artists.
Now everything is done post-production, and Autotune is 'the sound' of today's pop. The writing is done by teams of "producers" who have mastered today's pop sound and format.

And then LAWYERS.
For hip hop, in the 2000's lawyers began suing the shit out of anyone who sampled old stuff. Today, an artist can use samples, but they must PAY quite a bit. So, only artists with labels behind them can AFFORD to sample. Hence, Bruno Mars can sample everything, and steal everything, then autotune the shit out of it. And wha-laa - he's got a super-produced, money-backed hit where his producers just copy the shit out of everyone.
And in the end, Bruno Mars is the P.F. Changs of music - white appropriation all-dressed up, pre-packaged and sold.
