Hillary Clinton appears to faint stumble during 911 Memorial

dannym3141 says...

I have a few questions if anyone would care to satisfy my curiosity, I've seen/read a lot of stuff and I don't know what the reliable sources are for this. I'll list them so they're easy to answer, and I'm not trying to imply stuff or score any points, I just want to know. Sorry if any of this is tin-foil hat rubbish but I've been unable to sleep recently and ended up watching a lot of old crap, in a weakened mental state.

1 - Were those people with her yesterday, and does she often travel with, a nurse and a doctor?
2 - What's with the coughing and sicking up green globules into the glass of water? Never seen anything like that green stuff before.
3 - Did she need help getting up some stairs a while ago, or were they misleading photos?
4 - Why did no one react to her going completely limp? I can understand the well trained entourage explanation, but they didn't even look around to check for danger, considering their VIP went lifeless.
5 - Why did they take a collapsed elderly woman with pneumonia to an apartment rather than a hospital?
6 - Why say it was heat stroke?
7 - Has she really been pulling out of a lot of campaign events?

To be honest, I don't find her collapsing a worry at all. I've collapsed due to illness and I'm healthy and fit. What i do find strange is the reaction and lying about it. Somehow that makes me question the other things, but there you have it - my questions.

I think Clinton and Trump are equally bad. Clinton represents everything that disgusts me about politics - the 1%, 'the establishment', privilege and modern society, she will continue to sign off murdering innocent people and destroying the ecosystem for profit worldwide. Trump is.. well, offensive, sexist, racist, but i think only because it makes him popular, like a school bully, but he doesn't understand the new platform he has or what effect his words have on how people behave, and all in all that makes him a cowardly, selfish, egotistical weasel who we're about to give the keys to everything. Either way, we are fucked.

My God, It's Full of St...Spiders

Angua1 says...

It's the reflection of light off the back of their eyes. When I walk the dogs or run early in the morning I wear a cap with led lights on the brim - exactly the right spot for this kind of reflection to shoot back so I can see it - different angle than if I was holding a flashlight. Anyway, with this light I noticed the reflection off deer eyes is greenish, more muted with rabbits, very bright with raccoons and foxes. And then one day I thought i noticed some bright tin foil or something sparkly on the ground - nope spider eyeballs! In the fall the sparkles on the ground are amazing. I highly recommend experimenting with using a led flashlight in the fall. It's very cool to find critters, including spiders, this way.

It's transmitting power. The red wire leaves, goes to the power source, which then returns to the loop in the alligator clip.

If it was creating power, the LED wouldn't be on at the start when the material is stationary.

Seth Rogen Teaches How to Roll a Joint

StukaFox says...

And see, this is what makes you a great person. Just imagine if you HADN'T been there to roll joints for your friends -- sorta like It's A Wonderful Life. Without you, your friends would have been trying to make a pipe out of a plastic bottle, a Bic pen, some tinfoil and Elmer's Wood Glue. They might have succeeded, too, much to everyone's horror when the foil rips and they inhaled burning coals of pot directly into their lungs, leading to them dying terribly! But they never built that hellish contraption because YOU were there to roll joints for them instead! And teacher says every time a bell rings, some stoner just tried to make a pipe out of an apple. See? It really IS a Blunt-er-ful life!

I'd just like to say a word about dabs and the partaking thereof: Jesus Christ these things are like getting kicked right in the third eye by one of those horses from My Little Pony. Like maybe the blue one or something. I dunno, I'm pretty high right now, but I'm sure there's a blue one. Anyway, yeah, dabs . . . fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

Fun fact: I was rolling joints long before 'girls' were deemed qualified to do so. Only problem with that was becoming THE designated roller at parties which tended to cut into my chasing boys time.

Man Lights 10K Sparklers on Fire for New Year and Result....

one of the many faces of racism in america

enoch says...

@HugeJerk come on man,now you're just engaging in semantics, while ignoring voodoos point.

ok,lets play the semantics game and change the scenario, and see how comfortable you are with those scenarios:

@VoodooV has a video of your family member smoking weed...in a park.

@VoodooV has a video of your family member participating in a winter solstice ritual and his companies owner is a strict, religious fundamentalist.

(and before you throw out that firing over religious reasons is illegal, understand that the companies boss is not an idiot.your family member will be fired for other reasons, but rest assured..he is GONE).

@VoodooV has a video of your family member meeting with a lady of the evening.

would you like me to continue?
because in every one of these scenarios NOBODY was harmed, yet each one of those activities could bring great harm to your family member.

smoking weed harms no one,but it is illegal still in many states and many companies have a strict "drug-free' policy.(which i think is retarded)

engaging in a religious ritual, conforming to your family members belief system, harms no one,but is in direct conflict with the religious practices of the person who signs his checks.this would likely result in termination..with predjudice..but wait, thats against the law!! damn..foiled again!
aaaaah,but what is this?
the boss could just use another reason for termination.
the argument has been made that the owner of the company can do what he pleases..it is his company after all and he views paganism as heretical and against the wishes and dictates of GOD.
so your family member can just kiss his job goodbye.

or how about prostitution?
nobody was harmed.
sex between consensual adults for the exchange of currency.
but..its illegal...so bye bye to job.

and if @VoodooV was a particularly venal and nasty human being ,who REALLY wanted to impose his will upon your family member.he could just send those tapes to every new job your family member may have the luck to get.send them to creditors.apartment managers.etc etc.

@VoodooV could literally destroy your family members life, just by sending a video with an implied threat.

"if you do not take action about this person,i will expose YOU"

most people do not have the temerity to stand up to that form of bullying.they have businesses to run, bills to pay and families to protect.

and it is also why this tactic is so effective, because it WORKS.browbeating with the intent to force submission to a set of moral ideals held by a select, self righteous few.

it is like the dark ages!! but with broadband and iphones!!

so you better behave.
better obey all laws, real and social.
or the focus could become YOU,and not some turdnugget that is easy to hate.

The Fastest Foil on the Water

Wait...what are they actually trying to make?
That is nearly exactly how I made temporary bongs as a kid...except I would use a pen body and a tin foil 'bowl'....disgusting and probably toxic, but it smoked.

The Fastest Foil on the Water

newtboy says...

Beautiful watercraft all.
I'm not surprised at the results, beyond (SPOILER ALERT) the fact that the foil cat beat the moth. That thing looked fast. Kites beat sails hands down every time, though. They simply work better in many ways.
Why didn't they include any kite-cats? There are plenty of automatic kite systems, and non-automatic kites to replace sails as well. A kite driven foil cat would have been nice to see in the comparison.

Making a homemade carbon fibre hydrofoil kiteboard

oritteropo says...

The core did look like expanded polystyrene foam, he just used a bit of balsa to spread the load from the foil attachment. The vimeo comments have a link to a video from another guy who's done this, and said they independently came up with similar approaches, but I haven't checked it out.

newtboy said:

Good job. I wonder how fast these can go. A pro should be able to make a wind driven water speed record.

He could have saved some weight by using expanding foam instead of wood as the core and using molds to form the pieces. Then the foam supplies both the pressure and heat to cure the resin, so no vacuum bags needed.

Real Time - Dr. Michael Mann on Climate Change

Asmo says...

I'm obviously talking Swahili here... What part of "do not have a choice" don't you understand? I don't get to set the tariffs or when the sun comes up, and batteries enough to load shift significantly in Aus are still in the 20-30 grand area. You are fortunate you live in a place where the energy company still allows you a reasonable price for the energy you produce. The acceptance you talk about is the same acceptance a hostage gives it's kidnapper when they have a gun held to their head... Perhaps you're even lucky enough to have multiple energy providers competing for your custom. In Aus, it's almost entirely single provider in the realm of electricity supply.

However, that's neither fucking here nor there when it comes to energy returns... Energy returned on energy does not once mention the word "dollars" or "money"...

A simple analogy would be using a thousand 200 dollar bicycles to pull a load or 1 200 thousand dollar prime mover. The bikes are cleaner, certainly, but once you pay the wages of 1000 people to ride them/feed them, give them accomodation etc (vs 1 guy in the truck), and then work out just how long those people can continuously ride, the cost of the fuel in the truck etc, the truck becomes the obvious answer. That's why we use trucks instead of team pulled wagons, they are just better suited to the task. The same counts for energy generation, we need a clean prime mover, and we're going to have to suck up the cost to do it. If we're going to save the world, we're going to have to make sacrifices in the form of paying more until someone invents clean abundant energy generation that is also cheap.

Your "double the return on coal" is completely unsubstantiated.

Of course solar PV is cleaner than coal, but you need to expend far more energy to generate 1 KW/h of PV energy than you do to generate 1 KW/h of coal energy... It's part of the reason why coal is cheaper than solar and why so much of the world still relies on it. Because people cannot see past their wallet to the bigger picture.

I would love if PV on roofs were the answer, just like it would be awesome if everyone could farm their own vegetables in their backyard. But we moved beyond subsistence living to mass production a long time ago because people realised it was a huge effort that paid relatively small returns. Residential solar PV is a convenient foil to keep people thinking that it's making a difference when we could be investing public dollars in to wind (more viable), nuke (more viable), solar thermal (more viable), wave (more viable), hydro etc. And a lot of those techs are probably going to be more expensive than solar PV. What did that Native American fellow say? 'When it's all gone to shit, will you eat money?'

Money being the only concern is what got us to where we are at the moment ffs... =)
