I don't understand why some people love her. Yes she's pretty, but she's also pretty dumb. I suppose some people just relish the thought of fiasco politics, as if they get off on a comedy of blundering errors in positions of power. Didn't she condone book burning a few years back? Could you imagine if someone like this were to come into office? Just think of the executive orders that would pass through her desk. It'd be worse than Bush's I'll bet.

On that note, what's with Obama signing executive orders? Wasn't he supposed to dismantle some of Bushs and promised not to abuse it as well? Sigh, this is what we get for going along with the old two party system. It's sad because even any 3rd party that emerges gets hijacked by one of these two parties as well. I guess we're stuck with whatever we're told are "supercandidates". It's really sad... really sad indeed.

I don't get the US system as I'm not American... I have always been a doubter-I throw these posts into the mix from time to time to reinforce the spirit of the questioning voice within.

Two times in the history of the United States there have been attempts by presidents to issue currencies that had nothing to do with the federal reserve. President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order No. 11110 that returned to the U.S. government the power to issue currency, without going through the Federal Reserve. Using the power he had as president, about 4.8 billion in U.S. Notes backed by silver were put into circulation. June 4, 1963-(my birthday)

February 25, 1863-The National Banking Act-Lincoln did the same thing. Issuance of currencies backed by bank holdings.

No mystery as to why these guys were fucking shot in the head considering how far the world has come with regard to currencies.....

We are headed for one. One currency backed by nothing at all but fart-gas and blood of folks like us.

You wonder why someone with their head extricated through many an hour of mentation from their own asshole, has a problem with official stories, considering the history of power and control?

Because I don't generally see any point in debating empty rhetoric with anything other than snark. Otherwise I'd be on LGF all day trying to convince people that Obama isn't a secret muslim, and Soros doesn't control the media.

This flourish of "the worlds wealthiest and most powerful people" is either misinformed, or just empty rhetoric. It's so easy to be willfully ignorant of actual achievements people make when you already hate them.

Here's a few things Obama has done thus far, that I'm not sure how they benefit the "most powerful":

• Stopped the anti-missile defense plan in Poland
• The Obama administration and Russia announced plans to begin talks on a new START treaty to reduce nuclear arsenals to approximately 1,500.
• Signed an executive order to close CIA secret prisons.
• Signed an executive order to ban torture and subject all interrogations to Army Field Manual Standards that conform to the Geneva Conventions.
• $2,500.00 tax credit for college students
• $2billion for advanced car battery R&D
• $2 billion for Byrne Grants, which funds anti-gang and anti-gun task forces.
• Public Land Management Act of 2009 has put under federal protection more than two million acres of wilderness, thousands of miles of river and a host of national trails and parks. The conservation effort - the largest in the last 15 years - came with the stroke of a pen
• Obama's meetings with Turkish and Armenian officials, Turkey and Armenia announced plans to normalize relations.
• Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attended Gaza aid conference, pledging $900 million in aid in order to "foster conditions in which a Palestinian state can be fully realized."


There's more, but it apparently doesn't matter to a lot of people. Unless he's ended both invasions/occupations of Afgh/Iraq, personally kidnapped and murdered those responsible for the economic clusterfuck, landed Bush/Cheney in the Hague for war crimes, and given everyone a beautiful pony, he hasn't done shit!

What a reading comprehension fail. That order refers to presidential records, i.e. materials related to Obama's time in office. It has no bearing on his birth certificate (which is already protected by privacy laws).

The hospital and doctor information are MEDICAL RECORDS which are private and kept private for everyone, not just the President.

Medical privacy is one issue, the supposed Hawaiian hospital birthplace and doctors involved are not classified info, BHO could simply tell us all himself.

But of course you're right, its all a conspiracy, involving the government of Hawaii, Kenya, Pakistan, the UK, the local press of Hawaii at the time (which listed a birth announcement) and the national government. I'm sorry, I must be misunderstanding you. You're point is, "Everyone does it. So we should do it."? And then you go on to say, "It's beneficial to place control of an assassination squad in one man's hands so that other people don't need to know about it. Because that would show a significant misunderstanding of the entire point of our government.

First of all, "secret military operations" are separate from political assassinations. Any military operations the CIA or armed forces engage in that are classified are "secret military operations." That's not what's being discussed here, so don't confuse the two. Political assassinations are the subject, and in case you missed the very first thing Olberman said, he read an Executive Order from 1976, from the desk of President Gerald Ford, that no member of government is to engage in or conspire to engage in political assassination. The matter at hand isn't "does [insert name of 'large western country' here] do this?" The question is, if the allegations are true, is this in direct breach of an executive order? And the answer to that is unequivocally yes.

Secondly, if it's "useful" for governments to not know about operations so "they are not guilty for breaking the law," then the person who DOES know about the operations IS breaking the law. In this case that person is Cheney. Furthermore, it is NOT useful for members of the government to break laws put in place to dictate their behavior because, wait for it, those laws are in place for a reason. It may be useful for me to kill other people. For example if I'm in the running for a promotion, but so is Steve, well It would be quite useful for me to kill Steve. This way, less competition. But there are explicit laws preventing me from doing that, and they are there for good reason. Just because people are members of government doesn't mean that they are not subject to laws. They are subject to additional laws, including one from the desk of the president of the United States explicitly forbidding the practice that Cheney is now accused of. Keeping a matter like this quiet, keeping it from other members of government, is only a way of circumventing laws that were created because what they are forbidding has been deemed improper conduct for a member of the US government. It IS improper conduct for a member of the US government. And if the allegations are true, one hopes that it builds enough steam to scrutinize the actions of the Bush-Cheney administration.
