Not true. Using an emotional delivery to get people interested enough to listen to the factual science is basic psychology, and could be considered the science of selling science to humans....or applied behavioral science.

There's also what's known as psychology of science - The psychology of science is a branch of the studies of science that includes philosophy of science, history of science, and sociology of science or sociology of scientific knowledge. The psychology of science is defined most simply as the scientific study of scientific thought or behavior.

And the attacks are inexcusable.

To be totally upfront though, Gretta's role is meant to be emotional as opposed to scientific or factual. She's not meant to fill the gap of proving or providing facts, but rather to appeal on emotional level to get people to listen who maybe wouldn't other wise listen.

The criticism that such an angle is apart from 'science' isn't entirely invalid in her case. Right or wrong facts, using emotion to appeal to people and change their minds is entirely a non scientific approach to argument/persuasion.

This is a stark/bleak example. I don't personally agree with it entirely. As I said, I bring cereal for my students and it's there and free and available unless I don't have time to get to the store or unless I myself am out of pocket change to buy extra food.

I think the focus should be aimed toward those who have been injured physically, emotionally and mentally from all forms of violence whether it is natural disaster, crime, abuse, sickness etc. The people who have been broken and have lost hope need to be picked up and repaired and brought back to a better reality of caring and belonging.

Those are the ones who have seen enough of fighting and killing and need to know they are not forgotten. They need to there are good people without anger in there hearts. Someone on their side.

They've seen enough punishment from those who have no answers. Force should be used to save lives, not punish lives, otherwise you are the thing they fear.

Not all bad people are bad. They become afraid or don't know how to get or ask for help. No one wants to look weak.

People need inspiration and the knowledge that they are loved and OK and that their numbers are growing.

1) If Ecuador is America's bitch, after giving Assange asylum for years then what of all the countries that refused to extend asylum?

2) Trump has shown he has no interest in bringing Assange to the U.S. It's a safe bet that pressure on the Equadorians to turn him over were at an all-time low. Turning him over now is, if anything, hurting the powers that be in America. How is that being America's bitch?

3) Assange isn't wanted on charges of journalism. You could make the argument that some/many of the charges against him are politically motivated, but if so that will play out in court. Americans may no longer have an unbiased judiciary, but if there's nothing there, it will be hard to come up with a conviction even with a friendly judge.

I’m not sure why you think the Republican party is the standard bearer for Christ in the world, but the majority of Christians don’t live in Western democracies. About a quarter billion of them face daily persecution from hostile governments. You are grossly mischaracterizing the faith by conflating it with the worst elements of the American church, which actually in many Christian circles is commonly referred to as the church of Laodicia. Have you ever read Christs letter to the church of Laodicia? Its in Revelation chapter 3.

So you may be shocked to find out that a lot of Christians will agree with you that the American church is backslidden. I also agree with you that too many Christians are too political and have said and done things which are morally repugnant.

I support this president, I also supported the president before him. Christians are commanded in Romans 13 to support and pray for our leaders. It doesn’t mean that we have to agree with them. I certainly didn’t agree with how the church as a whole overlooked quite a bit about Trump because of their desire to win a political victory. Your testimony about finding Christ revolves around attending church services and watching TBN and Fox News. Your reason for falling away stemmed from your disillusionment and disgust with the republican party. All of that is really the epitome of cultural Christianity. You may have had an experience, or felt some emotions, but you weren’t changed. There are millions of people sitting in pews all across America who are in the same situation; completely lost and thinking they are okay. You need to be born again, RFlagg, and that didn’t happen to you. It can happen to you if you surrender your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Attending church services won’t make that happen for you. Attending church doesn’t make you a Christian. Watching Christian programming on TV, conservative news shows, and agreeing with creation science doesn’t make you a Christian. You become a Christian when you repent of your sin and fully surrender your life to Jesus Christ. It is at that moment that He will make you into a new person. It’s so simple a child could understand it but man has overcomplicated it to the point of totally distorting the message of the gospel.

The Lord outlined how the end times will proceed in the scriptures. There isn't much excuse for not understanding the times that we are living in. There will be a one world government run by the Antichrist, and the whole world will worship him.
