Swedish Army Band doing...well, you already know.

We called it "drum and bugle corps" when I did it (Santa Clara Vanguard, DCI '98). Basically a military-discipline civilian marching band competition tour across the US.

Tape Tapping

AeroMechanical says...

Meh, I buy it. He has to work within the limits of the tensioner, and how to get the velocity across the head reasonable and consistent seems like a hard problem to solve. I think there's probably more going on than just hooking some reel-to-reels up to a mixer, and it would be very interesting to know how he does it. Neat, though.

ed:
Could be he's just getting clicks and pops from some of the recorders and feeding that into an electronic drum trigger module.

Passionate Sign Language Interpreter At Slayer Show

WKB says...

Maybe in the extreme literal sense, but they are most definitely appreciating and enjoying the music. And if you've always been without hearing, then what's the difference? This is just what music is for you.

When I go to a show like this the part I love best is feeling my rib cage resonate with the cords. The feeling that the drums are over riding my own heart beat. Losing myself in the energy of the crowd and the spectacle of it all. Even when my ears aren't enjoying the show so much I always love that physical feeling of heavy sound moving you.

But you’re not really listening to the music.

I would have thought it kinda does.

I mean, yeah, you can feel the bass vibrations (and if you’re deaf and going to a concert, I guess metal and drum and bass are probably your best options).

But you’re not really listening to the music.

Just because you are deaf it does not mean that you can not feel the MUSIC.

I guess the best evidence yet is that the only real charges levied against anyone, the only people actually arrested are from the Trump camp.

There's this: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/two-clinton-employees-arrested-destroying-evidence-uranium-probe-begins/

But, as scopes points out, that story is not actually true.

Keep on beating your drum about how everyone in the Trump camp is so innocent, we'll keep actually arresting them and charging them while you follow the propaganda.

Oh and the EPA admin resigned today amid ethics scandals. I'll look forward to seeing him behind bars while you keep chanting "LOCK HER UP" without anything actually happening to her.

Who is the Executive in charge of the Justice Department again?

Teacher Fed Up With Students Swearing, Stealing, And Destroy

Mordhaus says...

Instead of focusing on who 'created' the problem, which I guarantee you cannot tie to any one specific group or ideology, we should be instead looking for a solution to the problem.

At some point we are going to have to quit beating our drums about 'bleeding heart' liberals or 'heartless money grubbing' republicans and work together. If we can't, then we deserve everything we have coming.
