Just to correct a few fantasies here...Carter completed qualification to run a diesel sub, he was never the commander of a nuclear sub. He was never the captain of any ship, apparently, except the ship of state, which he proceeded to drive onto the sandbar of malaise.

Why on earth would you put the fill port right at the front where one little ding is going to get you a gas leak? Safety doesn't seem to be his priority.

I've never heard of a petrol car being converted to LNG. Around here we mostly use LPG for petrol car conversions and only run diesels on LNG (they still need some diesel, but use 65%-95% LNG)... but then, in Australia virtually every petrol station sells LPG.

I dunno, I was sort of disappointed. It looks pretty much like any generic 1940s city. I guess I was expecting more in the way of diesel-punk kangaroos or something.

Actually, this is true, but it's also only one of the recall items that GM has issued Recalls for this year.

This has to be on here already... Still though, whenever people make fun of Vin Diesel I point them to this film. The guy is far more human and layered than people give him credit for. Not their fault since he does front a lot of stupid films with dumb-fuck tough-guy roles, but I believe he's probably a pretty solid human being in person, and I know I'd get along with him quite well for his deep background of gaming and imagination, at the very least.

The absolutely craziest roadie work I ever saw was at a concert for an Australian band called Johnnie Diesel and the Injectors. Great band, good songs, but the lead singer/guitarist played so hard that he would break a string every second song. Just off stage, his roadie was re-stringing his guitars like mad, and when a string would break, he would catch the roadie's eye, and throw the guitar off-stage. The roadie would throw a new guitar back, and he would keep on playing. I never saw so many guitar changes in my life.

I suppose one might also close all air intakes and keep the diesel engines running on air enclosed within the sub itself. Worked wonders on old type VII/IX subs and nothing clears your head like a ruptured eardrum.

Vin Diesel would be proud.
