Bladeless Wind Turbines

My thoughts exactly. That seemed VERY unstable. All that shaking is nothing but lost energy.

Maybe it was just a temporary pole, and it wasn't placed deep enough. Maybe.

7 Tips To Wake Up Without Coffee

EMPIRE says...

Here's a tip. Sleep at least 7-8 hours and don't drink coffee. I never have (because I simply don't like the taste of it), and I have no problem waking up.

What is Restless Leg Syndrome?

EMPIRE says...

I'm pretty sure I had a case of RLS once, during the night.

It was horrible. I was really really tired, and wanted to fall asleep, but whenever I stopped moving in bed, I just felt the uncontrollable urge to move and stretch my legs.

Fortunately it only happened that one time. I hope it never happens again.

Bill Maher Explaining Jokes To Idiots

EMPIRE says...

The PC Police doesn't have an issue with racism. They have an issue with everything! absolutely EVERYTHING, because they're professional victims who want to go through life without ever feeling offended. But of course, their victimization has to fit their own particular vision of the world, otherwise, it's offensive as well, and must be destroyed/silenced!

We all saw the "Je Suis Charlie" cases. I actually consider myself an actual "Je Suis Charlie" (for whatever that means) because I think freedom of speech is absolute, and comedy included. But there was a ton of little idiots, part of the PC police who managed to plaster "Je Suis Charlie" all over their facebooks, and then were condeming people over other "jokes".

These people, are stupid. Period.

Wow, billpayer just PC policed himself. He commented directly telling me:

"I'm sorry you aren't allowed to be racist anymore ."

And when I got here, it was gone. Good job on curbing your idiocy.

Thank you for the info

But the Factual Gamer never sleeps on the job. I already knew that, and had it in my list of news for the week (if it's not only for April Fools' day).

Since you host Factual Gamer, I thought you would want to know about Googlemaps new feature (maybe one day only) to turn any neighborhood into playable PacMan. It was great!

The Science of Anti-Vaccination

The thing is, you CAN control things in life, like maybe getting infected with a preventable disease. People don't reject things they can't control in life, I don't think that's the problem. I think it's because some people, once they have a formed opinion about something on their head, they have neither the mental capacity and/or humilty to admit that they are wrong and others are right.

This is why we need laser-guns, people! LASERS!!

Myth. Who could have been in a position to want to "put" something on a Blackbird and not known that planes can (and do) run into their own bullets already at speeds close to the speed of sound?

Low Security Jail In Norway

Here's a tip: go check out a dictionary, and see the definition of revenge.

I'll make it easy for you. Here it is:

"to exact punishment or expiation for a wrong on behalf of, especially in a resentful or vindictive spirit"

This is NOT what a judicial system does. Stop trolling.

You say; "Judicial punishment is not equal to revenge. It exists to appease the victim's feeling of injustice." Be quiet, you are an idiot to make such a statement. Try thinking about the nonsensical, statement you just made.

Low Security Jail In Norway

EMPIRE says...

Judicial punishment is not equal to revenge. It exists to appease the victim's feeling of injustice, and to show the criminal that what he did was wrong and society will remove his individual freedom if he decides to act in this way.

If I didn't think about the victims as you say so, I would've said that criminals shouldn't have to pay at all. But that's not what I said was it?

Between the god awful american encarceration system (and the use of death penalty in some states), and letting prisoners go off with a warning, there is, I am pretty sure, a middle ground. And that middle ground doesn't involve dehumanizing people, treating them like animals, and letting them get ass raped everyday in the showers.

A10anis said:

Your patronizing attitude denotes you lack of understanding of the very basic concept of justice, and the need for justice. Judicial punishment may not eradicate crime, but it exists to act, either, as a deterrent, or the vengeance of society. Either way, the sentence must be seen as punishment. If is not - which is increasingly the case - then why have laws at all? I suggest you spend more of your time thinking of the innocent victims of crime, rather than the welfare, comfort, and rehabilitation of those who perpetrate it. I'm done.
