Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - Will's Father leaves.

C-note says...

This hits home for me. It is a stereotype that is over hyped and excessively portrayed in the media. The truth is there are fathers that want to be with their kids and cannot due to being alienated. To my knowledge there has only been one movie I can recall that shows the struggle of a father trying to have custody of his kid (Kramer v Kramer 1979). Hollywood needs to put out another film to show what it’s like for a father to try and be involved in his children’s life when a narcissistic mother actively fights to prevent it.

Erasing Family Documentary: Trailer

Any parent that asks a child to choose one parent over another should lose custody and only be allowed supervised visitation.
Any child asked to choose should choose the one not making the ultimatum.
Parents who do this care more about hating their spouse than loving their child. Ostracizing a child's parent is child abuse, plain and simple.

If you honestly believed that, you should be committed and your children put in protective custody because you have no grasp on reality. One of the dumbest things you've claimed, that is, and that's an astronomically high bar.

You believe Alex Jones nonsense ramblings and a consummate fraud and liar over video proof. You're assessment of "fact" is not just suspect, it's nearly always dead wrong.

$15 million MADE so far on investigating Trump's administration' s criminal activities (on top of paying for itself), dozens of guilty pleas and convictions on high crimes against the United States, and 14 more prosecutions ongoing based on the information found.....or to you a cost of $30 million and nada.

The criminal act of collusion? Jesus, Bob, you just wallow in sycophantic ignorance with glee, don't you? You know there's no such thing, it's only been pointed out a few hundred times. You really have to try hard to be this dumb.

You are clinically delusional.

Again, stop private messaging me. I'm not equipped to deal with serious mental disorders, and there's no question you suffer from severe delusions. Cult members always do, and you are a high ranking member of Trumpianity.

You are totally wrong on all counts. Fake news is making a tool of you and your false beliefs. You'r drinking the Kool Aid so much your are choking on it an loosing oxygen to your brain.

Bottom line 30 Million to get dirt on Trump and ZERO. Looking for the non criminal act of Collusion and again ZERO. NO nothing Nada zip. Wake up.and breath the fresh air of a great America that Trump is providing you and your family.

Would you do me the courtesy of reading what I say before rejecting it? I specifically said: "Somebody like Saddam Hussein usually didn't care about Jack Bauer style, minutes count specific intel."

Jack Bauer style meaning like your revelation of a closely guarded secret after waterboarding...

Saddam would do things like sending his police to a disloyal man's home, and them simply handing over a video of them torturing his son or raping his wife/daughter whom they still had in custody. We don't have to like it, but it absolutely was effective in crushing dissent from not only that guy, but as word spreads a lot of other start wondering if resistance is worth the cost.

Our world is absolutely filled with examples of violence, rape and torture being used as powerfully effective weapons and ignoring it doesn't wish it away. The fact it these things are so powerful makes them all the more awful and more important we discuss it.

Use is not evidence of efficacy. Ask the homeopathic medicine industry about that.

I'd like to see some solid evidence of torture producing the results you'd want to see. A closely guarded secret revealed only after X amount of hours on the rack or under the water board.

From what I've read, universally, people who are tortured see their torturers in a rapidly increasing negative light. What could your worst enemy do to get you to betray a good friend? What if you began to harbor feelings that were even more I tense hatred for your worst enemy and they wanted you to betray your best friend? Would you be more likely to work with them then ?

I think the premise itself is flawed when it comes to torture, and more importantly the evidence is on my side.

Unarmed child shot in the back while running from police

Sure....then you just get killed in custody or framed and jailed for life.
Even in the highly unlikely event you find an honest police department, you have to fight the charges they think you might deserve with money and lawyers you don't have (the one they give you will have 200 open cases and 3 minutes to work on your case and will tell you to plea guilty), all after sitting in jail for years waiting for trial because you don't have $200k for bail.... sounds great.....after you. (You have to be black or Latino first though).

You know how you fix that, prosecute every small infraction any officer might be guilty of and remove the criminal cops permanently, like once fired for cause you get bared from any law enforcement job for life. We'll have to replace 2/3 of them and retrain the rest, but we still should, the police as they are are a gang of armed thugs that every now and then do a good deed so they can point to helping grandma get home when caught shooting kids in the back and pretend the former excuses the latter.

Unarmed child shot in the back while running from police

newtboy says...

IF......
That's the point, they reportedly had no clue what was true when they shot beyond a kid ran away.....no guns, no active shooting, no identification who was a shooter.....nothing but a car description and a scared kid running away.....a reasonable response if you don't want to die in custody or be framed.

Doesn't your last mean cops should expect to die by the gun and quit complaining? ;-)

, IF the stuff about him clearly having just been involved with a drive-by is true. Live by the gun, expect to die by it.

Baltimore Officers Found Guilty In Police Corruption Case

newtboy says...

20 years is a gift. Normal citizens would get longer sentences for the same crimes, but since they used their authority to rob and abuse citizens, they get a break? That's totally backwards, using that authority should, imo, double any normal sentence. They should all get life, but I think they likely got death...I think there's zero chance they will last 10 years in prison...even in protective custody. They robbed hundreds if not thousands of people. There's certainly a high price on all their heads and plenty of inmates just itching to collect it....deservedly so.

I hope they are all fined into destitution too. Anything they own, or their immediate family owns is paid for with stolen money. Find out their net worth, then set restitution at double that, just in case they've hidden money somewhere. Do not allow the family to benefit from their crimes.

Drag them over the coals, they deserve nothing less, including angry man's brother who was part of the gang, didn't leave the group, did help Rob citizens, and didn't turn them in.

Jail House Justice for Pedophile

Mordhaus says...

I can appreciate your concern. I went by the description of the video and the title. I can't be certain beyond that.

It is fairly well known that child molesters are not going to have a easy stay in incarceration, at least here in the USA. Vigilante justice happens to them frequently unless they request protective custody, which I understand many do.

ChaosEngine said:

Dislike.

1: how do you know that’s actually a pedophile?
2: even if it is, that’s not justice.

Great answers. The correct answer is that we are all in a three way custody battle for a Pomeranian dog named Kobuk.

Police K9 attacks innocent woman dumping her garbage

newtboy says...

I think so too, but they should have said that instead of their normal MO, lying.
It's probably why they held her too, the dog is trained to hold until the suspect is in custody....or until the instant he's given the release command.
Again, they should have said so instead of the normal 'take complete control without explanation', imo.
That he kept biting means he or his handler is not properly trained and to me it's reasonable to think the program should be suspended pending retraining of the entire k9 unit, because clearly they can't properly control their dogs, and that's a deadly hazard they're now aware of.

I would hazard a guess that they normally allow the dog to chew their suspect a bit, so it was confused.

shinyblurry said:

I think the reason they were telling her she was fine was to calm her down, because the more she reacted, the more aggressive the dog would be.

A feminist comes to terms with the Men's Rights movement

ChaosEngine says...

You could argue that the issues that hold men down are generally caused by the same issues feminists are fighting for.

One of the biggest issues affecting men is suicide, especially in younger males. And one of the primary drivers of this is "macho" culture; the idea that it's not "manly" to ask for emotional help.

The other issue I hear about is fathers rights (a court will almost always side with a mother in a custody dispute). Again, this is caused by the idea that the woman should be looking after the children.

The irony is that the fundamental difference between men's issues and women's issues is actually the fundamental similarity: both are caused by societal structures that dictate the role of men and women.

The difference is that historically (and let's be honest, even today), men hold the power and make the rules.

Sagemind said:

I've been saying this for years.
Men have some real issues that hold them down.
But that doesn't mean we can't also acknowledge the issues that woman face at the same time.
