Hi lucky, I noticed something interesting that I wanted to mention to you....this video http://videosift.com/video/Chopper-Reid-Australian-Hitman-Anti-Domestic-Violence-Ad is still in my unsifted folder after 2 days and almost 10 hours. I did promote it so I expected it might stay in there for an extra 3 hours, but it's there after all this time. Is that supposed to happen?

I had a similar fight with one "pilot" before about a Mi-24 Hind crash.
He the one supposedly flying generic civilian helicopters and telling me that forward speed in choppers can never be converted into altitude or at least to decrease the falling speed. Not realizing that a chopper like the Hind has huge wings that actually give a lot of uplift in situations like in this video here or the Hind crash.

When you say 25-scale do you mean 1:4 scale because that is what it is. The chopper looks like a Blueray 450, list price over $600 but can be had for under $300.

I remember a story about a drunk in Anchorage who wandered out on to the mud flats (like quick sand) in Anchorage - he got stuck like that and they called in a helicopter. The tied a line around his chest to pull him out with the chopper, unfortunately, only his top half came unstuck. His bottom half stayed in the mud. He ... did not survive.

Same flats, a lady on her honeymoon was slowly sinking in, rescue crew was all around her, and her husband too - she kept sinking, even with all of the rescue workers trying their best. As it got up to her face, they put a straw in her mouth. Her eyes were the last thing to go ... her husband got to say goodbye at least.

Other than his skill, it's crazy how strong that chopper is to handle that kind of G forces.

Not too sure what the pilot was thinking, even with my mediocre knowledge of flight and how it works, I could easily see that he entered into a slip.

He was waaaay too low to turn the chopper the way he did, and because the thrust was pointed away from the ground, it literally "slipped" out of the air for a few seconds, getting him danger close to the ground.

Real men don't use garlic presses, choppers, or (winces) pre-peeled cloves or minced (pre-chewed) bits in jars. Any man who does is the catcher on an all-hermaphrodite baseball team.
