Why isn't science enough?
Comments show again what a totalitarian topic this is.
If you call this science, you can call scientists scientists who lobbied for tobacco firms, claiming it didnt cause detrimental health effects, claimed the leaded fuel issue wasnt linked to leaded fuel, eugenics proponents or people who used lobotomy and electro shock therapy.
Oh wait, they were.
Keep believing hypocrites. Humans and intelligent, if they cant even learn from history? Dont make me laugh.
Attack the imminent problems, like the hypocrisy in the conflicts in Syria or Libya. Then I am starting to take you seriously. But instead you whine about 0.1 C degrees and let millions of people die to people you elected and which will ultimately backlash to you too.
Just look at this fact: USA supporting ISIS and Al Qaeda through countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Israel, while also fighting it.
Unbelievable...
And dont tell me me "its not their job". Its everyones job to stop something like that, just like you claim on climate change. Even more so actually!
4 Revolutionary Riddles
1) Honey or similar liquid
2) Three times as fast.
3) Nowhere. If you pull hard, the wheel will spin, until the pedal is horizontal, then the bike will still not move (the back wheel will not turn).
4) Lower half of the wheels.
Adam Ruins Everything - Keep America Beautiful
Haha, yeah. I hear those hypocrite "environmental activists" talking like that too all the time. Especially with the last part you can expose them easily. Buying a new car to save the planet...
Buying a used one is actually the best way to go, if you really care about the environment. But that doesnt offer as much prestige, of course.
Gotta love seeing these public AGW shills too, like Neil deGrasse Tyson, driving around in a 2.5 ton Audi long version with 450 HP.
Remember kids: If youre a hypocrite, nobody with at least half a brain will believe you anymore in anything.
Mutant Mosquitoes in Florida
I hope they thought this through completely...
1 Scientifically Proven Thing Actually Makes People Happier
Nope. When I still commuted, I found it the best thing of the day, because I loved driving my car (I still do) and I liked the solitude in it.
Now I work at home and I miss it a lot actually. I even drove like 700 miles each weekend for 2 years and I loved it and miss that too.
I try to compensate for it by just driving around for fun, but that really doesnt satisfy that much.
What really literally makes me sick is commuting in public transportation or in traffic on a bike. I like riding my bike on farm roads, etc, but on the road it just sucks.
So no, this "scientific fact" is bullshit for me.
science explains why rich people don't care about you
If something like that interest you, you should watch the first part of Zeitgeist - Moving Forward. It goes on where this short clip stops and explains that we are never born bad.
The whole documentary is very good.
Mass Incarceration in the US - Vlogbrothers
And another sad thing is that a lot of people will just dismiss these problems as "liberal bullshit".
5 Gun Myths We Believe b/c of Movies
Also no mention of subsonic ammunition which makes silenced guns even more silent.
They dont know the different between a machine gun and an assault rifle either.
But to be fair, an AK47 (not a machine gun) can burst into flames. Well kinda at least. The heat will be so big that the wood will catch fire. But not after only a few shots fired as suggest in this video. That will take several hundred bullets to happen, if not over a thousand.
If the people who made this knew anything about guns it would probably be better.
No, your barrel will not burst into flames.
When I was in the Army, some guys hooked up five belts to a MG with an old worn out barrel that was to be thrown away, just to see what would happen. It shot cleanly all the way to the end of the 1,000 round belt without stopping, jams or misfires. The barrel was just starting to glow a bit by the end.
What happens is you burn out the threads if you fire repetitively for a long time, but actually melting the barrel is pretty much impossible (and metal doesn't burn morons).
Silencer on a shotgun? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cz8uZWtt3Q
Works pretty well, not as quiet as the movie, but not excessively loud.
I'm not going to watch further, because this video is spreading as many lies as it clears up.
The European Union Explained
Wait till you read the Lissabon treaty.
I don't know if I just got smarter or dumber by watching this.
I think a little of both.
How a Turbocharger Works
Not quite right. In normal operation a turbo charger saves fuel, but under wide open throttle and general fast driving conditions, it uses much more fuel than NA engines with similar power.
Also a supercharger works similar, but its not propelled by exhaust gases, but directly by the engines crank shaft (over a belt).
