Extra - Origami
This is how Gaff from Blade Runner was taught his origami skills....from a loving father
Adam Savage Builds Han Solos Blaster
Saw Adam Savage speak live about his gloriously nerdist/geek tendencies in making movie props last month---30 years making three iterations of the Blade Runner gun, for example.
This video is accordingly, glorious.
Chilling view of massive Japanese industrial area
Mute sound and play Blade Runner Main Titles, works pretty well.
Elysium Trailer HD
not wetting my pants yet, but it has the potential. That's a good thing.
Wouldn't want to...n/m
I just hope the final product steps far away from the tone of this teaser (much in the same vein as Blade Runner did back in the day).
George Lucas' Response to Clerks and the Death Star Contract
Does not George Lucas take great pains to make R2D2 and C3PO positive likeable characters and as such are they not obviously self aware and not just the sum of clever programming. When it comes to the morality of destroying (read killing) such entities, clearly Lucas never watched Blade Runner.
Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection Official Trailer

I find Hi-Def to be jarring when watching old beloved films. It loses that dreamy painted quality and looks more like closed circuit television. Filmmakers put a lot of effort into creating a beautiful celluloid pallor, which HD Blu-Ray usually just rudely brushes aside. I have a sneaking suspicion that QT feels the same way, because he is a student of classic cinema. I'll be curious to see if QT finds a way to keep the old school warmth. Either way, this looks awesome. Take my money, please.
I could not disagree with you more sir after watching Blade Runner on Blu Ray on a large screen. It was like watching it at the movies.

Oh god no.
Not Blade Runner. Please. I'm begging you.
I have a strong, strong feeling this is coming. Is it possible to see Harrison Ford spin in his grave while he's alive still?
Might as well throw a damn predator in it for Colin Farrell, who will undoubtedly play the main role, to fight off in it as well to spice up the action and REALLY bring that 3D out on the screen...
Someone, please shoot the alien jelly-plasmoid brain-suckers that have taken over all of the executive and script writer minds in Hollywood before it reboots EVERY show ever made. Next E.T. and Star Wars will get a reboot at this pace.

The Movies Of Christopher Nolan
>> ^Payback:
My top five:
Ridley Scott - Alien, Blade Runner
Kubrick - 2001, Clockwork Orange, Dr Strangelove
Christopher Nolan - View video above
The Whedon - Firefly, Buffy (TV), the Avengers
Nicholas Meyer (Wrath of Khan, Undiscovered Country)
-Interesting tidbits
-I knew Nimoy Directed The Voyage Home, but didn't know he directed 3 Men and a Baby. - hmmph.
-I don't include Lucas, as he was a (3 movie) one hit wonder. Seriously, what else has he done thats's memorable?
-JJ Abrahms has WRITTEN and PRODUCED a ton of stuff I love, but he hasn't really directed anything.
-The Buffy episode "Hush" is the best, most original, scary, stand-alone story I have ever watched on television.
Whedon is amazing that goes without saying. You're right to not include Lucas, all you have to do is watch Indian Jones trilogy to see how he shouldn't direct and Spielberg should!

No, unfortunately I haven't had a chance to look very hard.
I've been on holidays for the last week or so.
The worst holiday ever.
Car broke down, (fuel pump) on the Saturday (about 300 km from home) and didn't get the car back until Friday. The whole holiday was a write off.
During my holiday, I avoided the computer as much as I could. Concentrated all my time on my son. I didn't want to spend the ruined part of the holiday just sitting at the keyboard like I'd be doing if I wasn't on holidays so we made a point of doing things together. Nothing big, just hanging out as two guys doing what ever he wanted.

Hey @<a rel="nofollow" href="http://videosift.com/member/Sagemind" title="member since April 2nd, 2008" class="profilelink">Sagemind, just wondering if you ever did track down the complete soundtrack? If you enjoyed the official one, then you'll love all the tracks you missed.

Hmmm, I listened to the soundtrack for Blade Runner over 150 times (estimated) when I used to own it and this song wasn't on it.

There are -several- soundtracks for Blade Runner out there. The official one has hardly anything, really. Look for the 25th anniversary version or the boot leg one with all the songs on it
Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blade_Runner_soundtrack Ctrl-F to Esper, that's the one that really opened my eyes to what I'd been missing. The official release lacked so much.
I've also listened to the music from Blade Runner over and over. It's such great music to work to, not intrusive and it's very atmospheric.

The Prometheus Science Training School
Ha! And a few other things about this film;
What's with the 3D computer graphics and in the "later" films there are no such things?
Would you really land your ship on the planet? And that easily? Wouldn't you have a landing ship for the occasion and have a bit of a job navigating as well? Instead they land right on the button and can drive back and forth from the alien ship as easily as going to the shops.
The first bit that made me facepalm was the panicking scientists who then magically get lost despite bringing the floating mapping balls. And they forgot their ipads with google maps on them.
And then they took their helmets off. Jay-sus.
When the other crew leave rashly bagging samples - they could surely pop back later - they hop onto the bikes because the truck has gone. Where did the truck go?
I could keep going. I don't mind silly things like this in the right movie but this tried to take itself reasonably seriously. But if you can't be bothered to get basic details correct and create plausible, believable characters then you end up with a dud.
I'm not hopeful for that Blade Runner sequel.
Blade Runner Aquarelle Edition Part 1 (Teaser)
That's an interesting idea, but the whole thing seems a little light and washed out for Blade Runner, which was such a dark movie, both figuratively and literally.
