Judge Cristina Perez - Neighborhood Watch v HighSchool Kid
Done!
As an aside, I've found it pretty interesting that apparently ALL movies and shows seem to *always* include the "all characters are fictional" disclaimer even when the content is a biographical work of non-fiction!
"This movie is telling you the story about these real people who really existed and real events that actually happened, but all said characters are purely fictional."
Wha?!
@lucky760 can you please remove my vote(if possible).
Seth Meyers - Trump Lies about His Birther Past
I love Snopes. Of course, the devil is in the details:
"The editor of the biographical text about Barack Obama which was included in the booklet maintained that the mention of Kenya was an error on her part and was not based on any information provided to her by Obama himself:
"Miriam Goderich edited the text of the bio; she is now a partner at the Dystel & Goderich agency, which lists Obama as one of its current clients.
"'You're undoubtedly aware of the brouhaha stirred up by Breitbart about the erroneous statement in a client list Acton & Dystel published in 1991 (for circulation within the publishing industry only) that Barack Obama was born in Kenya. This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me — an agency assistant at the time," Goderich wrote. "There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more.'
"A New York Times article about Barack Obama published in 1990, a year before the Acton & Dystel promotional booklet was issued, correctly identified his birthplace as Hawaii.
"A variant of this item paired the image shown above with the statement "Big Oops! Harvard Law Review did not cleanse its 1991 yearbook which states he was born in Kenya." As noted above, the biographical sketch pictured above was put out by a literacy agency; it was not part of any yearbook published by Harvard."
Obama is the origin of his troubles,
Back in the day when his publish indicated so and he did nothing to correct it
http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/birthers/booklet.asp
Then, as president he puts a document that does nothing to quell the issue and makes it worse. There was no reason for a scanned certificate to PDF to have 14 layers in Illustrator. He should have just posted a Jpeg.
Why did Trump did what he did - who knows. But the media did get played that day.

This is really cool to hear about. Thanks for telling us about this. Maybe a biographical novel is in your future?

murray rothbard wrote those parts of the newsletters, or someone who thought like him.
In a 1963 article, Rothbard wrote that "the Negro Revolution has some elements that a libertarian must favor, others that he must oppose. Thus, the libertarian opposes compulsory segregation and police brutality, but also opposes compulsory integration and such absurdities as ethnic quota systems in jobs. According to Rothbard biographer Justin Raimondo, Rothbard considered Malcolm X to be a "great black leader” and Martin Luther King to be favored by whites because he “was the major restraining force on the developing Negro revolution." Rothbard also compared Lyndon B. Johnson's use of troops to crush urban rioters in 1968 after King's assassination to Johnson's use of American troops in the Vietnam War.

now, who does that sound like? The newsletter or ron paul? and was murray convinced enough of his own rightness that he used paul to get his true feelings out...
and rothbard dies in 1995, just in time for ron paul to be harassed non-stop about these things with no real recourse...
If I understand you--you are saying the Dr. Paul didn't know that these things were being said in a newsletter that had his name on it.
Okay.
Then he wasn't paying attention to something that he really should have been paying attention to. Not a glowing endorsement of his leadership abilities.

Guy Sounds Just Like Freddie Mercury
From Wiki:
Freddy Mercury:
"...who was a Parsi born in Zanzibar and grew up there and in India until his mid-teens, has been referred to as "Britain's first Asian rock star". In 2006, Time Asia named him as one of the most influential Asian heroes of the past 60 years, and he continues to be voted one of the greatest singers in the history of popular music. In 2005, a poll organised by Blender and MTV2 saw Mercury voted the greatest male singer of all time. In 2008, Rolling Stone editors ranked him number 18 on their list of the 100 greatest singers of all time. In 2009, a Classic Rock poll saw him voted the greatest rock singer of all time. Allmusic has characterised Mercury as "one of rock's greatest all-time entertainers", who possessed "one of the greatest voices in all of music"... Biographer David Bret described his voice as "escalating within a few bars from a deep, throaty rock-growl to tender, vibrant tenor, then on to a high-pitched, perfect coloratura, pure and crystalline in the upper reaches"."

Touched.. by tragedy?
What, a fucking, understatement. Given a choice between imprisonment or hormonal treatment? As if they can.. cure the gay away. Touched by tragedy doesn't even begin to describe the kind of stupidity exhibited in this case, by society, no less.

Ann Druyan (Carl Sagan's wife) has a message about Marijuana
As this video strongly implies, Carl Sagan was a recreational marijuana user. From Wikipedia:
Sagan was a user and advocate of marijuana. Under the pseudonym "Mr. X", he contributed an essay about smoking cannabis to the 1971 book Marihuana Reconsidered.[47][48] The essay explained that marijuana use had helped to inspire some of Sagan's works and enhance sensual and intellectual experiences. After Sagan's death, his friend Lester Grinspoon disclosed this information to Sagan's biographer, Keay Davidson. The publishing of the biography, Carl Sagan: A Life, in 1999 brought media attention to this aspect of Sagan's life.
Also, I didn't notice anything "stagey" or otherwise about the video. I think that's just how she speaks...
Should Information About VideoSift Members be Recorded on wiki.videosift.com? (User Poll by dag)
If we're to allow "biographical" content, can we at least limit it to noteworthy videosift events?
It's one thing to have an entry about TAYTV or about how ant's participation in Out of the Blue lured a lot of people here. It's another thing to have a page about how [random unpopular user] is a racist, homophobic, bigoted troll.
On the other hand, if you think this sort of thing should be acceptable, please let us know. We can start by writing insult-laced articles about you.

It's a non-issue as long as the content contains only factual information. It should be written as is any legitimate, objective biographical work and entirely free of each author's personal sentiments.
I vote yes only if it's the opposite of this.

Sasha Grey on Interracial Porn
This is something Ms. Grey may have been shooting for, but this reminds me of Dirk Diggler's biographical movie within Boogie Nights...the one where he's talking about how popular he is and how many marriages he's saved. And how King Napoleon was constantly being conquered during the Roman Empire.

Rachel Maddow - C-SPAN Video Of McCain's Objection Found!
I swear, it seems like every time McCain has opened his mouth in the last couple years, he's proven the truth of the general attitude of the biographical article in the Rolling Stone. He clearly has no problem at all lying, nor does it appear that he has any actual guiding principles, other than "does this action have a chance (no matter how small) to get me something I want".
As disgusted as I am with Obama's failure to follow through on any of his campaign promises that were important to me, I still have to believe we dodged a bullet when we avoided a McCain presidency.
How a Train Stays on a Track (not as simple as you thought)
Richard Feynman has many wonderful explanations and stories. I recommend:
"Classic Feynman" (a combined and expanded version of "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" and "What Do You Care What Other People Think?")

For the real physicists out there, there is the book "Genius" which combines biographical info with descriptions of his theories and nobel prize winning work.
