What is the right way to grip the Steering Wheel

EvilDeathBee says...

I think the lowered position is intended for long, highway drives to avoid fatigue. I can't imagine it being as good, reaction wise, as 10 and 2, or 8 and 4... and certainly not as Fast and Furious/douche-baggy as 12 and stick

Actual Gun/Violent Crime Statistics - (U.S.A. vs U.K.)

cosmovitelli says...

I make that at least half a million dollars for every family in the lowest third of income in the US. Did they really get this money?? What did they spend it on? Baggy jeans?

Also the nihilist mass shootings are all from the well fed white/asian middle class right?

Why Cops don't like Baggy Clothes

A clever person might be able to hide a weapon inside a uniform, but uniforms still serve their purpose if it's more difficult to do so and if data shows it occurs less frequently.
(But all smart kids should do the world a favor and drop out, take their high school equivalency, and go straight to community college / online classes.)

I am agreeing with you. I'm just ripping on the video because they're pretending that uniforms are this magic shield against firearms and basically trying to scare dumb white people.

As long as uniforms work (reduce the use of weapons), I don't see any reason to downplay the value of the video and uniforms. They're not claiming a 100% success rate.

Poor people deserve freedom from violence as much as middle & upper class people, who don't care as much because they don't send their kids to schools where this is a problem.

George Zimmerman Reenacts Trayvon Martin Shooting for Police

GenjiKilpatrick says...

You're a trolling shit head. Trayvon never had a criminal record.

What you read in a FoxNews.com article about Trayvon's school suspensions DO NOT count as a "mile-long [sic]wrap sheet".

Skipping class, having an EMPTY baggie on him, and carrying jewelry that wasn't reported stolen DO NOT make Trayvon a thug, criminal or a "bad person"

Trayvon was a person, flesh and blood. Just like you, you asshat.

Even if he engaged in criminal acts in the past, like George Zimmerman who assaulted a police officer..

Trayvon was minding his own business that night. Then was hunted down and murdered.

Step outside your little hateful, willfully ignorant bubble, @shang

Non-Newtonian Fluid Used As Pothole Solution

mxxcon says...

And in the long term do you think this baggy will be cheaper than 10 shovels of asphalt?
As a short term solution, if you are going to have somebody come out and deploy this bag, might as well have them come out with asphalt.

While non-Newtonian liquids become 'non-liquid' when a force is rapidly applied, they don't become solid. Putting something like this on a moderately trafficed street will result in a grove getting worked in that bag and it will probably take a few minutes for the bag to regain it's flat shape.

It's a cool solution but I don't if it's really practical or solves a problem that needed to be solved.

I like that he got a shave and a haircut for the last ten seconds of the video. Also that we learned a bit about *nature

Although, for some reason I can't quite put my finger on, he gives off a bit of a douche baggy vibe.

Lucky Montana Cop Escapes Death

@dannym3141

Yes, it would be nice for people to have common sense, and when I say "people", that's civvies and cops alike. The guy in the other vid shows no respect for authority, has baggy clothes that could conceal any number of weapons, and repeatedly disobeys the order of the man holding the gun. That kind of irrational behaviour would trigger all my alarms if I were a cop. My guess is that person either has some sort of mental disorder or was just really stupid.

As for the cop in this video, that's probably the last time he's this easygoing on a routine pullover. Heck, maybe the cop in the vid I linked above had a similar experience, thus his jumpiness, who knows.
