GP Grey: Someone Dead Ruined My Life… Again.

moonsammy says...

Just watched this on YT and was going to submit it here, but my effort was futile. Which was great, after a fashion.

This video is a fascinating bit of entirely useless background on a different video, and it leads nowhere. Loved it, so *promote !

Porn for fossil fuel industry

But you CAN say they are reusing parts.

From YouTube description..
" CDI’s crew felled the 90 Units in two (2) mobilizations to the site, permitting the Wind Farm Owner to complete salvage of blades and drive-train elements from some of the wind turbines to provide replacement parts for similar Units they operate at other wind farm locations."

@1:47 you can see some of the turbines in the background without blades.

(edit) random comment i found regarding this... "The wind farm was built in 2006 and had a total output of 90MW. The 90 units will be replaced with 86 General Electric Units with a total capacity 0f 235MW."

Wish I could say I was surprised that they aren't detaching and re-using parts that can be re-used prior to demolition.

Gmail and Sift Lounge Fixed (Sift Talk Post)

Haha. The detection for "are you here" or "did you leave" needs work! When you leave your browser running while it's in the background, it throws it off.

Also, it does look like the email notifications aren't coming through, so more investigation and work will be needed!

DIVIDE & RULE - The Plan of The 1% to Make You DISPOSABLE

Wait.. this is silly.
Quantum sociology is silly.

Nice word soup and pictures but really just background radiation.

"Demand for change" is not a program. Freedoms for all species is silly. I dont want amoebas to be free in drinking water to eat my brain, yet that is what both they and apparently Bill Gates want to do.

Thanks, hadn't heard of her before this video.

After seeing that background video, I'm way more impressed by what she's accomplished. Unlike most other youtubers or social-media-influencers, she deserves to get rich for using her game-dev knowledge/skills in a creative new way.

Ironic that she's on the brink of perma-ban on Twitch. If they (or their Amazon overlords) were smart, they would fully embrace her style before she has to move to onlyfans or some such site.

Could some explain to me how this avatar is being animated. Is this in a video game with live motion capture? What game is this? Sorry if this is a dumb question. - nm I think I figured out this is twitch with a motion layer.

To me that has a lovely Joe Satriani vibe to it.

OK, now I have no option but to spend my afternoon with him on in the background. There are advantages to working from home.

Edward Snowden 2021

newtboy says...

I think that's intentional. If we saw the full unedited video, i think it would be more clear he's describing Trump and the unpopular policies he instituted despite their unpopularity and lack of support.

Edit: Based on the background it looks like his interview with Stossel last year, but the shirt collar looks a bit different.

Not a fan of these type clickbaity youtube channels but would fully listen if i knew where to find the original video interview. Any idea where i could find it? Couldn't find it in the videos description on yt.

Getting the most out of factory downtime

SFOGuy says...

Had buddy who was a chemical engineer with a petroleum background---After the British Petroleum blow out in the Gulf, he told me that he knew it was going to happen; that it was always going to happen--because BP had always underspent on maintenance. He explained it like owning a boat. If you aren't spending 10% of the cost of the boat on maintaining it every year, you're doing it wrong. That includes maintenance, downtime, and prevention/OSHA/Worker safety.

I like how the people in the background are like "oh, it's just Matt doing his stuff again..." Nothing to see here, move along, move along.

The Worst Gun Control Bill I've Ever Seen

newtboy says...

Not really the first, but the most ridiculous in quite a while.

Some democrats don’t care about sensible gun laws. Some do want little more than actual background checks for all sales, like me. I don’t want violent felons to have easy access to them, nor people with active charges for kidnapping, murder, stalking, terrorism, etc. I don’t see any need for a public registry, although a closed/non public registry would make tracking firearms found after being used in a crime easier, as well as removing guns from people deemed a threat due to real, diagnosed mental defect or disease. This bill was insanely lax in defining what qualifies there, one of many things that made it not just bad, but horrific....and doa.

It’s odd, my brother, who lives in Austin too, says the same thing. He loves to blame ex-Californians for crazy laws, but most of the laws and regulations he complains about don’t exist here. I guess we got rid of our nuts? Thanks for taking them off our hands!

I’ll watch it later when the wife’s asleep.

It's just the first salvo. The underlaying message is the same. Democrats don't care about sensible gun laws, they just want to make it very hard, very expensive, and very punitive for people to own modern firearms of any type.

Thanks to people moving from liberal states, Texas is purple now. Living in Austin, the ultimate far left stronghold, has made me immune to being surprised when a Texas politician submits crazy bills.

In any case, give it a watch. Brandon is funny even when he is upset.

Pastor gets comedians time slot, unbeknownst to the audience

moonsammy says...

Actors are frequently told to just appear bored, and with the right editing and background music that performance can be made to appear heartfelt, humorous, or whatever is needed. Expectations matter immensely to how we interpret what we see and hear. Apparently the difference between a sincere discussion of one's spiritual journey and a great stand-up routine is down to expectations... who knew?
