Darth Sidious' Do it!

Let's talk about Republican reaction to the SCOTUS leak....

newtboy says...

Perhaps I should have paraphrased, because you’re correct, they didn’t say exactly those words…mea culpa…, they did all say it was settled law and established and repeatedly reaffirmed Supreme Court precedent that they respected as such…. https://videosift.com/video/They-All-Lied ….which has clearly the same meaning.

Red herrings, justices didn’t answer questions about those issues back then, so never insisted they respected and accepted those laws as settled precedent, these were asked and they answered, with lies, that’s perjury.

Historically they do restrict themselves based on previous SUPREME COURT decisions, which this was. I guess you believe nothing is settled law or overriding precedent then, all laws are up for grabs based on the current courts whims and nothing more. So you believe Muslims can now be banned from the country, women and non whites no longer get to vote, any law not in the constitution is in peril.

That’s just not how it works.

I have no hope women would be smart enough to follow through….especially red state women. Women in the 2020’s don’t have the spine or attention span women in the 1920’s had.

I don't recall any SCOTUS nominee ever stating outright that Roe "...would not be overturned by me..." during their confirmation hearings. My memory says that they all refused to limit their discretion as to what their decisions would be in any new case. Citation?

Prohibition of same-sex marriage was once "settled law" - until it wasn't. "Settled law" in the end only acts as a restriction on lower courts. The fact of the matter is that the Supremes can decide any issue in any way they deem fit, regardless of precedents set in any previous Federal cases.

Good luck with your "sex strike". Maybe that will solve the population problem to which you refer.

A Millennial Job Interview

StukaFox says...

The fucked-up part is employers will still hire Gen Z (or whatever the fuck they're called) over highly skilled Gen X because employers think that Gen Z are harder workers and not over-entitled and self-important cunts -- which they are.

Also, they can't code for shit, have never heard of Linux, and their entire lives revolve around spending endless amounts of time on Facebook, Instagram, and whatever else is presenting Short Attention Span Theater that day. Skills and experience? Yeah, OK, Boomer.

Satanic Temple (2019)

newtboy says...

Hail Satan.

I do always love watching the gears start turning in the heads of those idiots pushing for prayer in schools and other public settings when they realize other religions will have that same right to indoctrinate their children.

Didn't finish it though....Satan should understand that America's attention span is under 45 seconds, he had a hand in making it that way.

"Are Traps Gay?" | ContraPoints

BSR says...

This video is a trap.

She is a real woman. And she really is talking to just other women.

If she truly is a man she would know men don't have long attention spans.

After ten +- sentences, words start to sound like the music that semi truck tires make at 70 mph on the Interstate as the sun sinks in the west.

Total Lunar Eclipse January 20, 2019

BSR says...

Six hours and fifty minutes too long. Not ADD friendly. Not sure the harpsichord captured the mood either.

It was reported that meteor struck the moon during the eclipse and cause a bright flash. Don't know if it shows up in this video and I don't have the attention span to hunt for it.

If YOU see something, say something or I'm giving up on this one.

White House revokes CNN reporters press pass

BSR says...

Thanks Gentlemen,

So much text to read, my short attention span wasn't letting me absorb it all.

Thanks for the reset.

Briguy1960, the foxhole reference to FOX was unintended but maybe subliminally planted in my head. Not like me to make a pun unintentionally and then not see it.

Thanks for picking up the slack. LOL

Lets just hope we won't have to.
Yes we can agree on those facts .

Why Police Touch Your Taillight, It's Extremely Important!

BSR says...

I've seemed to noticed that shorter videos tend to get more views and upvotes. Maybe because the longer a video is, one forgets to vote or simply a long video doesn't cater to a short attention span. If the first few minutes tend to be boring it gets aborted before the good stuff. Right or wrong that's my take.

What do you think? You've got more experience than I do here.

Blade Runner 2049 Trailer

transmorpher says...

Change the title and it could be any other Hollywood cookie cutter movie released in the last 10 years.

Perhaps the trailer is misleadingly generic, and I really hope so, but after Robocop, Total Recall, and Aliens, the track record for rebooting 80s cult classics isn't good.

Also what's with the 5 second micro trailer before the real trailer? Are peoples attention spans so poor these days that we have to tease the advert even before it plays?

MOAB Used In Afghanistan Against Daesh

transmorpher says...

$314 million for one bomb that does more damage to terrain than any enemies.

You could have dropped 1000 cluster bombs for the same price and done way more targeted damage, or 10000 JDAMS / Laser guided bombs.

This is all just Trumps ego. He wanted to show how serious he is, and nobody would let him drop a nuke, so they used his short attention span to dangle this MOAB in from of him to make him feel good.

"Yeah, yeah, it's the biggest one we have"

He's not even good at war mongering.

Jurassic World, Jurassic Values

kir_mokum says...

so basically jurassic park fans are 5 year old boys with short attention spans and they should know that their promises to people, especially women, are meaningless since they're a means to an end and can be easily replaced?

poolcleaner said:

Jurassic Park fans only give a fuck about the dinosaurs, okay? Check the discussions at IMDB. I don't think the average moviegoer understands the concepts of morality and heroic action -- and neither do your average filmmakers.

They wanna see references to previous movies in the franchise and then see people terrorized by fucking dinosaurs while the heroes escape the carnage and fight them like it's a video game. And yeah its important that hot people are in the movie and that they hook up.

The older brother's character shows young boys that there are plenty of fish in the sea so who cares about your nagging girlfriend, go out and get some. Time for love when you're in your 30s. Everything leading up to that is a vagina, boobs, and a mouth.

Jurassic Park, fuck yeah.
