The final shot was two people buying Coke. That's what I like about Coke, their advertising says something other than "BUY OUR FUCKING PRODUCT BECAUSE WE'RE NOT COKE!" like Pepsi does.

In this particular case it's just a culture gap rather than needing to think about it. In the nineties there was an advert in the UK for Ferrero Rocher chocolates that was widely parodied and quoted.

Geeze, how appreciated should they be? They've been nominated for 8 Grammys, won 2 of them. They've appeared in movies, tv shows, adverts. They composed the soundtrack for one of the most awesome movies ever, Tron Legacy, their albums have gone platinum and gold around the world... what more do you want?

I'm willing to bet that the people who are affected most by this kind of ad are more likely to be safe drivers in the first place. The UK has been running increasingly shocking safe-driving adverts for decades and people still speed.

MY point (not THE point) was the beauteous simplicity of the exchange.
