Still 3.8% unemployment, sucker. 4 years ago it was nearly 15%! Choke on it. (Like over a million Americans choked on their last breath thanks to Trump’s mismanagement.)
Month after month after month after month of exceeding predicted jobs GROWTH you moron. Often by double.
That includes lost jobs and new jobs.
Wages are RISING much faster than inflation. Not only are jobs plentiful, at historical low unemployment for a record time, but earnings are higher…the new jobs pay more than the lost jobs.
Eat it. The economy is going gangbusters, so fast and hard the fed won’t lower interest. We recovered at double the rate of other nations. In March we ADDED OVER 300000 MORE JOBS that average better pay, same in Jan, Feb, and probably April. Those alleged 200000 didn’t even register, even with the lost jobs counted the jobs numbers are consistently near double expectations!
Really? Where do you get those insane numbers? Not the department of labor. Probably Trump, who would have simply made them up.
The labor market continues to be stiff and hard like a teenager on viagra at a strip club. The recovery is wide, long, and veiny. I know that sucks for Trump who is clear he wants a recession to help his poll numbers. Maybe you don’t see it because you’re invested in stupidity like Tesla and Trump Media. 😂
STILL WAITING! 😂

Is the labor market finally starting to soften?

@CrushBug -- Very good arguments in favor of absorbing the cost, even IF hormone therapy / gender reassignment is paid for by the military / government.
@entr0py -- Links that I've read from conventional news outlets claim that hormone therapy and gender reassignment were covered by military healthcare IF a doctor signed off on them as being medically necessary. An article I read about Chelsea Manning specifically stated that the hormone therapy was definitely paid for by the military, but that it wasn't 100% clear who paid the bill for her gender reassignment. I can't find that exact article, but here's another one from 2015 that suggests the same things:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/02/12/chelsea-manning-hormone-therapy/23311813/
Another article I read said that Obama issued an order / proclamation / whatever that the military would pay for those things if they were deemed medically necessary, which was a change from the former system (not covered). Not sure when/if that went into effect, but I think it must have. I'll look and see if I can find a link to that one.
I'm not saying that my info is right and yours is wrong, but it seems unclear. They (gender reassignment and hormone therapy) definitely weren't covered for a long time, but it seems like the hormone therapy was for sure at least in Manning's case.
Again, just to my personal opinion, I think the old system of "welcome to serve but we ain't paying for that stuff" was fine (ideal?). CrushBug presents a good argument for the military absorbing those costs since they are such a tiny fraction of the military budget (even though trans soldiers are arguably also a tiny fraction of the total).
Strangely enough, I'd pretty happily agree to those services being covered (if deemed medically necessary) as part of single-payer universal health care available to ALL CITIZENS. That would still be paying for them with tax dollars, but not tax dollars earmarked for military, which seems better to me somehow.
And again, I think Trump is 100% in the wrong for barring trans people from service simply for being trans. I agree that he's really just trying to rile up his base and trigger their righteous indignation. But, I do still basically think that the military paying for those services (or viagra / hair transplants / botox / cosmetic stuff, etc.) out of their budget is wrong. Even if amounts to a drop in the ocean that is military spending.
Gender reassignment and hormone therapy aren't covered by military healthcare, so that's not the issue. Honestly, I think Trump is either so misinformed that he believes they are covered, or he knows that by implying they are with the phrase "tremendous medical costs" his base will be outraged by an imaginary government expenditure on 'queers'.

Yes, 15k soldiers is the number I have seen as well.
The other factor is the question about what that $8.4m is being used for. It sounds like you are assuming that it is for hormone replacement and/or gender reassignment, but I haven't heard if that is explicitly what the $8.4m is for, or if is the sum total of all annual trans health care in the military. That is something I would like clarified. It has only been stated as "the cost for health care for the 15k trans soldiers", so it is not clear.
I, too, would like to hear what is the Viagra "head" count. Hooooo!
I just think that it is a small price to pay (0.0017 %) of a $500b annual military budget, for people that are braver than myself, and willing to serve.

That's the kind of thing that makes it obvious that the economics are NOT the real reason.
Include Viagra in my list of elective things that people should pay for themselves.
...On the other hand, to fully compare we'd need to know how many individuals are being provided with those things. I remember seeing that $8.4m figure before, I think it was for ~15,000 trans soldiers? The military is spending about 5 times as much on viagra, but I'd wager that it gets distributed to more than 75,000 (15k x 5) guys.
I don't really think the military should be paying for either, but I'm sure that the military line would be that they're buying more per-capita emotional well being with $41m worth of viagra than $8m for trans.
The problem is that this health care cost is so small, when you compare it their other health care costs.
DoD spent 1.9 billion on tobacco-related health care issues in 2009. I think that is more than the cost of health care for transgender troops.
They currently spend more on Viagra ($41.6m) than on health care for transgender troops ($8.4m).

Why Is Salt So Bad for You, Anyway?
Your taste buds adjust within about a week, and things actually begin to taste better, because you can taste the flavours of the actual ingredients instead of just salt.
If you gradually ease off the salt, you never even notice (until you eat something that isn't salt reduced, and it will taste way too salty).
It's a lot easier than using a penis pump or popping viagra's later in life ;-)
Eat well, stay fit, and DIE anyway. I'd rather live 50 years as a free man, than 100 years in a prison. Pass the salt, please.
Jeff Sessions Tells Prosecutors:Prosecute Drugs More Harshly
For a party that says it is all about state rights over a large federal government... they sure seem to love to contradict themselves. "Know how you made weed legal? Yeah, we're undoing that, state rights don't apply... but if you want to make it so that family that has a kid with bone cancer can't afford their insurance or treatment, then fill free to let that kid die, we're not going to force you to keep pre-existing conditions covered affordably... if they wanted that kid to live, they should have had better jobs... and certainly don't have to make men pay for pre-natal care, but make sure those women pay for men's Viagra, because men have to get their fuck on, any women who does is just a whore." And they are also the "moral" party... Christ...
Why U.S. women’s clothing sizes don’t make sense
Or women could just be getting fatter.
That's why they had to invent Viagra.
Bernie Bros For Hillary
You don't think that Trump won't make an unfair system even worse? Do you know what kind of scam operations he runs? Read up on Trump University, and if you don't think a mind like his won't immediately start eroding the as of yet intact elements of our government, then I have a bridge in the bay area to sell you. Not to mention that Scalia is not my definition of 'bright' by any standard. Bloviating quasi intellectual douchenozzle, sure, but not exactly a contributor to constitutional scholarship.
Hillary will be a boring drag; an uninspired and predictable apparatchik, but not remotely as harmful as the narcissistic psychopathy that's absofuckinglutely going to get us into severe confrontations around the globe that a Trump administration would bring.
Think about it. Yesterday the Russians put out a sabre-rattling presser about a US destroyer in the Black Sea (its international waters). Under Obama or Clinton, I can be pretty confident that any ruffled feathers will be smoothed and that things won't escalate. With Trump, if he has a bad morning because the viagra didn't kick in on time, or Ivana talks back or whatever, god knows what his decisions would be.

Clown Panties
No problem. I've got a few jokes for you straight off the bat - what's brown and sticky? A stick. What's ET short for? He's only got little legs. Did you hear the one about the constipated mathematician? He worked it out with a pencil. Doctor doctor, i feel like a pair of curtains. Pull yourself together! What's black and white and eats like a horse? A zebra. What's black and white, black and white, black and white? A penguin rolling down a hill.
Hell, Tim Vine does hundreds of one liners in half an hour and the majority of them are not at anyone's expense.
I think you've confused what you find funny with the term "humour" as it were. You may only find shadenfreude funny, and so you think all humour is shadenfreude, but it is patently obvious that things can be humourous without being at someone's expense and i find it almost petulant to be asked to prove it when it is so obvious. You almost certainly know loads of jokes like that. How does Bob Marley like his donuts? Wi' jam-in. I stood there, wondering why the frisbee was getting bigger and bigger..... and then it hit me. What did the fish say when he swam into the wall? Dam.
From what i remember of Lenny Henry's standup (like him or not) in the old days, he didn't often tell a joke at someone's expense. Tommy Cooper used to make people laugh by doing bad magic tricks. Les Dawson used to make people laugh by playing the piano badly as only a good pianist can. Terry Pratchett makes me laugh by conjuring up funny situations in a fictional world. I laughed at the Big Lebowski when he shaded the pad of paper to see what secret notes Jackie Treehorn was making and it turned out to be a doodle of a man holding his own cock. What do you call a fish with no eyes? A fsh. I bought some new viagra eye drops, cos they make me look hard. What do you call a man with a shovel on his head? Doug.
I could go on and on and on, but i don't get paid for this and i have other stuff to do, but i hope i've opened your eyes to whole new realms of comedy where people don't get hit in the face with stuff. Where are the Andes? At the end of your wristies. Why didn't the skeleton go to the party? He had no body to go with.
I'm so confused by your request for proof that i feel like someone's asked me "Air? What air? There's no air, i can't see any!"
I'm utterly dreading to read your reply if it says anything along the lines of "That ET joke is offensive to short people! That skeleton joke is offensive to people with eating disorders! The penguin joke is offensive to the penguin you pushed down the hill!" Please don't embarrass us both by doing that, we both know those jokes aren't offensive. (Or very funny, to be honest.)
Name it. Or try reading Stranger in a strange land for a better explanation of my point.
When analyzed thoroughly, all humor is at someone, or something's expense. I've never seen an exception...but I'm open to one if you have it!
EDIT: As I see it, all humor is schadenfreude (enjoyment taken from the misfortune of someone (or something) else. )
