Now... I'm not of the school of 'no tv, no video games, no fast food'... but I am of the school of IN MODERATION!

And any time one of the kids shows signs of being a little dependant on the video games, it's unplugged and put away for a week or more.

I fricken HATE the biscuits (BBQ shapes, pizza shapes, all that sort of thing) which you can just smell as soon as you open a box of them. The ridiculously overpowering smell of flavour enhancer 621, chemicals, chemicals, chemicals.

Our kids love fruit, there's always a bowl, we have 2 plum trees, an apple and a lemon tree and are growing our first crop of veggies in our veggie patch. Our kids always have a selection of raw vegetables with their meals.

When I see parents who always give their kids cordial or soft drink, or... oh this annoys me... if they give them milk they always add flavour to it, so it's strawberry or chocolate milk... ARGH! WATER and Milk are the two drinks our kids get at home.

But yeah, not militant on the TV or games etc, I have great fun sitting down with the kids to watch a movie, or playing a Wii game with them. I had those experiences as a kid, so why shouldn't they? But I also had time limits, as do they.

Now for some facts. I am a fan of facts. I just got this email from my extremely conservative Mormon brother, as part of an email exchange about the topic of scaling back the rhetoric:

This is NOT about taking sides. This is about the absurdity of using this kind of political rhetoric in campaigns. Any kind of calls to violence of this sort should be frowned upon. People need to be responsible for their words, and in this case, Palin's words just happened to be related to a random act of violence. This is not directly Palin's fault because both sides are at fault, but this is an example of what this kind of rhetoric can lead to and how dangerous it actually is.

I would have liked to see the cameraman frantically trying to unplug the mic.

Anyone who unplugs their computer and lets it sit for a few minutes as a way to solve an internet outage (or, really, anything except overheating equipment) is a 4 at best.

Hard trauma to an LCD/plasma t.v. wouldn't just turn it black, it would retain picture and have colour "Bleeds" from the damaged area, unless it was somehow unplugged by that swing.. which I kinda doubt.

But to me, I think the biggest giveaway was the drummer. His hits weren't even on rhythm, so they would've failed the song out just from him long ago.

Tyler had already raised this problem with a gay and lesbian support group, and with the dorm supervisor or whatever the term is to find out what he could do to stop it, and had on previous occaisions unplugged the computer when he was in the room with company so this had been ongoing. Judging by the comments being left at the time "how can you go back in there", "gross" etc. etc. I think being gay had a lot to do with it.

So he's playing Xbox and hears his washing machine making noises, I get that, but why did he unplug the Xbox controller and take it with him to get his camera and make this video?
