I'm Afraid of Americans

Anna Trailer - Luc Besson

twenty one pilots: Stressed Out (Official video)

RFlagg says...

Greetings to you in Columbus from Canton. Ohio does have a decent rock history beyond just the rock hall... Chrissie Hynde, DEVO, Trent Reznor (technically from PA, but his NIN project started in Cleveland, so I count him as Ohio), Marilyn Manson, and Black Keys just to name ones off the top of my head... John Legend... of course there's also Dean Martin but he's not rock... I know there's more... I was last in Columbus for the 4th of July for the Columbus Crew game that day.

I'll always love the Sabbath original, but FNM just managed to take it and make it their own. Kinda like Cash singing Reznor's Hurt.

@Asmo, the Faith No More version is epic (pun very much intended)

When I was a teenager, I was hanging out in the guitar shop my mate worked in. We were playing War Pigs (Sabbath version) on the stereo and this dude comes in and says "wow, Mike Pattons voice sounds really weird"

just found this: Faith No More with Ozzy and James Hetfield!

This Is A Trent Reznor Song - Freddy Scott

I'm a big fan since Downward Spiral and still absolutely love The Fragile, which is one of the best albums ever made IMHO. I listened to Hesitation Marks once, didn't hate it, and saw them perform live in their latest tour.

Though it does indeed sound like a lot of Reznor songs, this is is a remix/rearrangement of 'Copy of A', in which Reznor sings about everything being a copy of a copy (of a copy, etc.) Get it?

(:

I totally understand and appreciate where Reznor's coming from with Hesitation Marks, but I just can't listen to it. I tried to like, but after several attempts I gave up on it. I know his music has always been a reflection of himself, but I hope he tries something different next time.

BTW, I wasn't an angsty teen with I started listening to NIN so I haven't really grown with Reznor.

I've been listening to NIN for almost 20 years. I didn't know what to make of the album at first (wtf? major key?) but it grew on me. I'm not the angsty teen I was when I started listening to them. Nor is Reznor the same man who once penned 'Hurt.' He's got kids now--though I don't expect that he plays 'Closer' for them at home.

Regarding 'Hesitation Marks' as something of a resolution helps the album fit in the NIN discography.

Reznor has been Broken, fallen into a Downward Spiral, he's discovered The Perfect Drug, he thought he was Fixed, but discovered that he was still Fragile, recovered again With Teeth, started over at Year Zero, Slipped a bit, looked at his Hesitation Marks and remember that he has tried, and survived, Everything.

And this is a wonderful parody of his style.

I'm a fan of both Lynch and Reznor, but I gotta say this video was horrible. I can see why they have an epilepsy warning. Is the shaky cam supposed to be "haunting"?

We need Tool to make some more music + videos...

Blast... got me by 16 1/2 hours. I saw that as a recommended link while watching a High Flying Birds song and thought that sounds like an interesting band name, I'll listen to them. Then while listening I looked them up and saw, oh yeah, I remember them, Trent Reznor's new band, but with his wife singing.
