Cop Drives Man Over 100 Miles After Traffic Stop ...

newtboy says...

Did we pay that cop >4 hours of overtime for his "good deed", and for his gas and vehicle maintenance? If so, it wasn't really a good deed, it was self serving and a waste of hundreds of tax dollars. It's only a nice gesture if it's on the cop's dime and on his personal time, not mine. It probably would have been cheaper to buy him a plane ticket.

Yeah ive become more cynical in my view of these types. It seems that its' always "the rules apply to everyone except me getting more stuff" and is rooted more simply in the idea that they are selfish.

Gov benefit for everyone? THAT'S SOCIALISM AND WHAT NEXT NAZIS? WHAT? YOU WANT EVERYONE TO HAVE EVERYTHING FOR FREE? THEN WHAT? NO ONE WORKS? NANNY STATE? STATISM!!! TYRRANY!!!"

Gov benefit for me? Well... I'm gettin' mine...OF COURSE.

And I thought teaching mine to close the door when they come in was good. Now I feel like I'm slacking hard with my dog training.

The Monster Under My Bed

newtboy says...

When I got older, I realized all the monsters and demons I feared were lurking under my bed were actually in it, their heads resting on the same pillow as mine.

Army of Chickens Follow After Food

wtfcaniuse says...

Fairly typical for chooks to do this in my experience. Mine sometimes follow me around in a group even when I don't have food for them.
They also communicate to each other that food is available which kicks off the flocking behaviour. Some roosters will yell when they notice a food source and wait for hens to eat before they do.

Friend of mine did body removals, from his stories my opinion is you ALWAYS got the wrong house.

In all my time removing bodies from houses, I can say I've never gotten the wrong house, that I know of.

But as you can see from this video I may have forgotten to recover one.

So you think machine guns aren't firearms...or do you think they aren't really illegal?

Edit: What about bazookas, grenades, mortars, etc.?
They are firearms by the federal definition....https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/921

The 2A specifically says "arms". There is plenty of debate and case law regarding what arms they meant. Suffice to say there isn't a shadow of a doubt that it means firearms (long and short) of all varieties commonly available.

"doesn't mention anything about not restricting the types of armaments people can use"

It does restrict the government from making laws in this regard. The 2A is a law restricting government, not the people. "shall not be infringed" literally means you shall make no law that affects this right in any way.

The Amazon isn't "Burning" - It's Being Burned

diego says...

oh and just to add, take a wild guess where trump stands on this issue... bolsonaro has already announced they are in talks to start mining operations together in the amazon.

The US has been after the uranium in the amazon since the 60s, I have read brasilian govt reports from the time already accusing US mining companies of sending "missionaries" to hand out contraceptives and offer free sterilizations to indigenous people, with greedy stooges like bolsonaro and trump they will finally get what they want.

We all have wounds. I was certainly pissed off about mine for a very long time. Took me decades to process. I do have sympathy and empathy.

At some point, though, it is up to us to work through our pain and stop projecting it out onto others.

Isn't it? Our personal responsibility? That is a core moral value of mine. Personal responsibility.

Sounds like resentment to me. Dad was probably unemployed for whatever reason and now he has to make him responsible for not getting Legos for his birthday. It colors his whole world. Makes him the man he is now.
