Swamp Thing Teaser Trailer

DC going to Netflix would be a reaaaaally smart move on their part. Have a couple decent shows, tie them into some movies that aren't fucking awful, and people might actually give a crap about their universe.

Perhaps with Disney pulling all the Marvel stuff to Disney+, and assuming DC Universe doesn't make enough, perhaps they'll partner with Netflix or something.

I don't think this has anything to do with the Swamp Thing movie, but more the Alan Moore and forward era.

But yeah, Doom Patrol is the only other one that I'd really want to see there as Titans doesn't look worth while. This was a case, much like Stargate Universe, where partnering with an existing service would have made more sense. Nate Bargatze Stand-Up

Jimmy Carr Stand-Up

Who is Shane?

Also I doubt his worst jokes were in the netflix special. Something tells me he didn't mention crawling over broken glass to suck the cock of the last person to fuck Rachel Riley.

Just watched Jimmy Carr's Netflix special - it contains all these same jokes, and every joke I can ever remember Jimmy Carr telling, so I guess it really is a "greatest hits" standup, rather than all new material like most stand-up specials. It also had more offensive jokes, and a lot of reference to Shane's Mum.

BEL-AIR

That would work as a Netflix series or something.

I mean it's not so different from Riverdale or Sabrina. I'd be surprised if some studio exec doesn't decide to run with this.

Groundhog Day — An Inescapable Premise

lucky760 says...

I love this film. I've seen it over a hundred times.

Also really love Edge of Tomorrow. (Seen that half a dozen times.)

Just started watching Russian Doll on Netflix and have enjoyed the first couple of episodes so far, but I still can't imagine how they're going to turn this premise into an ongoing series.

Groundhog Day — An Inescapable Premise

moonsammy says...

For anyone who loves the concept in Groundhog Day and wants to see the idea explored from a couple different angles, both Edge of Tomorrow (aka Live, Die, Repeat) and Happy Death Day are solid films. Very different, but each good in its own right.

Netflix also just put out a show which employs this concept, Russian Doll, but I've not watched any of that.

The First Extinction of 2019 Has Already Happened

It's pretty clear the governments can't get their shit together, so it is up to us as individuals to drive the change.

If you want to do your part to combat climate change, then any reduction in products that come from animal farming is going to decrease your carbon (and methane) foot print.

e.g. Go for the bean burrito with guac or tahani dressing, instead of a beef and cheese burrito.

Go for the coconut/soy/almond ice cream instead.

Watch the COWSPIRACY documentary on Netflix, and look up Dr. Richard Oppenlander speaking to the EU parliament.

Vegan Diet or Mediterranean Diet: Which Is Healthier?

newtboy says...

I'll wait for it's claims to be investigated, and for it to get to Netflix, but I'll check it out.

Stay tuned for James Cameron's (Terminator/Titanic/Avatar) documentary titled "The Game Changers" coming out it in Feb 2019 :-)
