Blue Man Group Takes On The #SkibidiChallenge

I guess I should have read the description first, because I expect better from the blue man group. This looked totally unrehearsed, unlike everything else they do.

there is a new party in town called the justice democrats

enoch says...

i guess i am in a way.
i have seen bob break away from his ideologues to promote his own ideas.so i know he is capable of defying the monolithic demagogue machinery.

i mean, just the other day he posted a video from secular talk, which is a liberal talk show and is a founding member of justice democrats.

now the video he posted was most likely to promote his own criticism that democrats are greedy little big money addicts, which is not an inaccurate accusation, but i found it odd that he posted a video from a founding member of justice democrats and yet down voted a video---promoting justice democrats.

i want to know how he is reconciling this obvious disparity.

Clearly the latter. Why even ask? Are you just trying to see if he even realises it?

12K PC Gaming

SDGundamX says...

@ChaosEngine

Everything @newtboy said. I think you're exaggerating just a tad. You're not going to build a PC that runs newly released games at 1080p at 60fps and also includes a blu-ray drive , 500 GB HD, and wireless motion sensitive controller for under $400 US (current price of PS4 on US Amazon). Plus, you're almost certainly going to have to buy a 1080p monitor (since most people don't do their computing on their TV or keep their tower case in the living room), which will set you back $200 minimum even for a cheap one that's likely to ghost.

As far as games go, nearly EVERY major release will be on all platforms and in fact will likely come out on console first (GTA V). Sure, some kickstarter stuff like Pillars of Eternity won't be available but it works both ways--you won't get some awesome console exclusives on the PC (Mario Kart, Little Big Planet, etc.) either.

Plus as newtboy mentioned, you can rent and sell console games. Yeah, PC games drop to much lower price points as they get older (I usually pick up all the good stuff I missed at $3-5 during Steam sales) but reselling isn't an option for most stuff (yet). You can mod most PC games, though, so that's a plus for them.

Look, I play 90% of my games on my gaming PC. That's because I have the time and money to do so. I don't understand the attitude of looking down on people who don't have those luxuries or who don't want to spend the prerequisite time required pouring over tech forums, price comparing at hardware vendors websites like Newegg, and downloading proper drivers just to build a gaming PC on the cheap when they can just go to a store down the road and pick up something comparable with virtually no effort.

Xbox One unveil highlights

spawnflagger says...

I prefer FPS on the PC - using a joystick is just frustrating. But then again I couldn't imagine playing Little Big Planet on a PC. (although the Xbox 360 controller works great for many PC games, and it's nice that Steam is trying a joystick-friendly interface for big-tv-attached-PC-gaming.)

The thing I really hate is that both Xbox 360 and PS3 support USB keyboards and mice. It's completely up to the developers to include that in their game or not. I got a reply once from the makers of Resistance, and the reason they said they didn't include it was because it would make it unfair for multiplayer... well how about Single Player? or have a server setting that would allow/disallow keyboard+mouse?

Thank you. Nice to know there is someone else online that isn't a dick about consoles and PCs. It's possible to appreciate both

Awkward date saved by World of Warcraft!

UsesProzac says...

@Porksandwich Geez, I would never have stuck around in that guild long enough to see any of that go down. For the most part, I had my own guild just to use the guild bank as a massive storage unit for all my mats and crap. But when I did join other guilds to raid, it was all very professional. The kind of guild you had to apply to. You pretty much had to have a doctor's note if you had to miss a raid.

The social aspect of WoW is great and all, but like in real life, you really have to be careful with who you choose to surround yourself with.

I hope you do find a girl who plays with you or is at least tolerant of your time spent gaming. I find that gaming makes my relationship work because we both dedicate time to it. Neither of us feels jealous. We currently play SWTOR together and games like Little Big Planet and the like with our son. We also play games independently. He's playing Legends of Grimrock right now and I'm checking out Reckoning, which he's already beat, including the DLC expansion.

You can find a girl who compliments you and doesn't bring you down. Don't let past experiences with dastardly people shade your outlook on gamers, girl or boy.

Trailer 'Chinese Zodiac' - New Jackie Chan Movie

Stormsinger says...

Jackie's fucking awesome...if you think all of his movies are the same, you clearly haven't seen them all. Check out "Little Big Soldier" if you want something different. That may well be his best movie, and nothing like his usual fare.

Personally, I very much enjoy his standard flicks, in part because I know he does all his own stunts, and in part because I like the fact that he clearly doesn't take himself all that seriously. He's more than happy to laugh at himself.

What's the Parappa reference? Is it the thing that moves out of view from behind the dogs just as the soldiers enter?
>> ^Shepppard:
So, this video makes reference to:
CoD (or, generic WWII shooters), Twisted Metal, Parappa the Rappa, Little Big Planet, Ratchet and Clank, Final Fantasy, Killzone, Uncharted, God of War, Portal, Infamous, Tekken, MLB/NFL generic games, Metal Gear, Modern Warfare 3, Dead Space, Bioshock, Hitman, Resistance and Assassins Creed.
Not sure if the bartender is supposed to be from somewhere, though.

Nope, that's the Mk.II or III, whichever is in MGS4, the parappa is on the wall behind the chick in the booth, it's just a crappy little drawing, but it's a dog in a red hat with a purple shirt.

Pause at 31 seconds, just before it switches back to the two soldiers, he's on the right side.
