Costco lets woman return dead Christmas tree in January

newtboy says...

This is why Costco is no longer such a discount.
No questions asked returns with no time limits....this policy was too easy to abuse.
They have changed that policy for electronics. I'm glad, my brother used to return 3-5 year old computers and electronics for full refunds...it always pissed me off. Now, thanks to people like him (and her), if my new tv dies after 7 months, I'm sol.

How To Cook A Cheap Steak Vs. An Expensive Steak

OverLord says...

Seconded.

I just buy cheap rump steak or whatever bulk from Costco, lightly season, and pack individually in heat seal bags and freeze. Chuck in overnight or first thing in morning before going to work.

Tastes fantastic, just as good as the expensive cuts. I do them at 54°C for med-rare.

Thing is, wife likes well done, so I cook them all the same and just leave hers on the skillet for longer. It fully cooks, but it stays tender and melty, so much better than just doing a well done steak in a pan.

You can also sous vide it for about 4 hours. That breaks down tough steaks. A brisket flat cooked at 141° for 72 hours is as tender as a ribeye with tons of flavor.

Adam FAILED to Ruin Tesla

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

These guys love Teslas a lot - and so do I but anyone can see that they are only relatively better than ICE cars. Why not skip the car and take public transport - and rent a car when you really need one for that trip to Costco.

You Know What's Bullshit?! Episode 33 - Oversized Packaging

Payback says...

...basically someone bought a skid from Costco and is reselling it through Amazon, or leftover stock from what Costco didn't want.

The first thing that comes to mind is... why the hell are those things being sold at Amazon? A "packaging" that large looks like the kind you'd see at a wholesale club store like CostCo.

The Conspiracy Behind Your Glasses

newtboy says...

I've been using Zenni for years. <$10 glasses that are quality, with a huge selection of styles!? Why wouldn't you? I bought my first pair about 15 years back at Costco, for around $120 (on sale), before I knew about Zenni. Since then, they're the only place I go. Never again with the >$100 glasses....screw that, yo.
