The CDC found, surprisingly, that it has struck 25- to 44-year-olds very hard: Their “excess death” rate is up 26.5 percent.
Among 45- to 64-year-olds the increase was 14.6 percent, and among 65- to 74-year-olds it was 24.2 percent.
All told, an estimated 285,404 more people died than would be expected in a typical year, the CDC reported.

So when the vast majority voted no reason absentee/vote by mail but those votes couldn't be counted until election day there were 1/3 as many issues with in person election day voting. Sounds like vote by mail was nearly as good despite it's workers having to work 20 hour days counting vs 8 for in person poll workers. The total number that were either an over or under count were .04%, not great, but not consequential.

President trump is raising concerns, yes, but not doing a thing to solve the problems h he's caused. There weren't shutdowns because H1N1 wasn't spread before symptoms show, wasn't as easily spread, and wasn't 1/10 as deadly. By denying travel to and quarantining the visibly sick, it was relatively easy to stop the spread. There were many travel restrictions including travel bans, but they were mostly voluntarily. There was screening of passengers and sick ones were denied travel. Also, thanks to preparations, a vaccine only took months to create.
