Trump released the Taliban from prison, negotiated his unconditional surrender to them without involving the Afghan government at all, allowed any actions by the Taliban as long as they didn’t directly attack Americans, and developed absolutely no plan for withdrawal. If we followed Trump’s plan, there wouldn’t be 12 dead soldiers, there would be up to 12000. There wouldn’t be nearly $7 billion in decommissioned broken equipment left, there would be over $70 billion of operational equipment left. There would also be 100x more Americans abandoned to the Taliban.

This is an advertising stunt for Elon Goat Token, a fairly new crypto currency that spent $600000 on this statue, apparently as a gift to Elon. It was due to be delivered in Austin Saturday, the 26th, but when they arrived Elon was nowhere to be found to accept the “gift”, and did not make the hoped for endorsement of the crypto currency bearing his name.

It absolutely looked like auto pilot taking control to me, I’ve never heard of someone mistaking the gas pedal for the brakes for 1/10 that timeframe, it’s usually under 1 second before they crash.

Hate to tell you but Tesla has denied fault every time auto pilot has failed. For instance, last year autopilot was involved in 273 crashes but only 35 had been reported since 2016, so clearly Tesla under reports. NTSB found that Tesla automatically turned off auto pilot just before it was going to crash to hide auto pilot involvement. New rules force reporting if auto pilot was in use 30 seconds before any crash, and cases increased exponentially overnight.

70% of all driver assistance involved crashes were Tesla.
5/6 fatalities were in Teslas, and the vast majority of serious injuries. (Now 7/8)

China does not trust Tesla to read the data without erasing or manipulating it. Reports I read said they were using a third party to go over the data because they believe Tesla will cover it up….as they believe Tesla has done before.

If you want to believe Musk when he again says “not my fault”, that’s your prerogative, but it’s not your prerogative not to tell others that’s the truth. Autopilot malfunctions are a documented issue….but occur far less often than driver malfunctions, it’s true. This is not the first reported runaway Tesla, just the first caught entirely on external cameras.

Wait for the third party report to be sure, but all indications are this was an auto pilot malfunction, and Tesla doesn’t know more than we do right now because China isn’t giving them the car back.

Dad graduated in the top 1% of his class from Stanford with a chemistry major, then started a highly successful international high tech insulation company making insulation for nuclear power plants in the 70’s. 5) Neither could have succeeded as they did if they had to pay today’s rates for college, or if each had hundreds of thousands in debt to pay back. Both scored 1590 on their SAT. Neither got scholarships or loans (Rice was free, dad’s parents and part time jobs paid for Stanford). Neither “fucked around”.

6) Colleges charge more because people will pay it, because a degree is an absolute necessity to be successful in the business world (unless you inherit tens of millions). If you drop the amount people can borrow for school, they’ll just accept intellectually poorer students (like you) that CAN pay. Supply and demand….that doesn’t mean you discount your in high demand product because your preferred customer can’t afford it so long as someone can. Duh.
