My dad liked to play “kill the kid” where if he caught me walking in the road he would drive at me at 15-20mph, I would jump on the hood, he would hit the breaks so I rolled off, then he would drive off. He said it was to see what the neighbors would do, but he did it at our ranch with no neighbors to see more than once, so…..
Call it a prank, inappropriate joking, fun between a dad and his weird kid, or serious child abuse, it sure beat how my brother treated me…but yes, it left multiple scars I can still see 45 years later…they’re not the only ones. Growing up in Texas in the 70s was dangerous.
Nobody ever said anything. I know some of the neighbors and my mother saw him do it. That’s way scarier and more scaring than the car coming at me.
(Side note- Just because I’m paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t trying to get me!)

I'm Canadian, and let me tell you we aren't that much better nor that different than our Southern neighbor in our diet. Stuff we see & buy in the "Big Chain" (of which 3 companies control like 70% of all groceries) supermarkets are 90% the same stuff (and brands) in the USA. If we live slightly longer and healthier, it's probably about moderation. It's crazy looking at the portions we're served at restaurants whenever we're down in the States. And no amount of regulation, or lack thereof, can change that.

Uh oh….don is going to have to explain why he’s illegally threatening the president with death, a violation of his bail in every trial he’s facing and a slap in the face to his own security detail, and why he’s continuing to threaten the judges daughter despite the updated gag order on Monday specifically precluding him from attacking family members.
