It's interesting how this guy mis represents the Trump case.

He repeatedly says there was no evidence and that it's really hard to disprove something that someone just says about you. "He said/she said".

Of course that's not how the case went at all.

Carrol told a couple of friends about the encounter immediately after it, so she corroborating witnesses that confirmed under oath that she had talked to them about the event 30 years ago.

Trump lied and said he would never treat women badly, that he never met Carrol, and that she wasn't his type.

Carrol's team proved that they had met (pictures and people's testimony) and Trump misidentified Carrol as his ex wife in a picture which was used to show that she physically was his type. The Access Hollywood secret audio was used with other evidence to show that Trump had bragged about treating women badly.

Last but not least Carrol offered a stained dress like Monica Lewinski that could be tested if only Trump would offer his DNA. Guess what? Trump would not offer his DNA to attempt a match.

The great part about the case here is that it appears Democrats actually hold each other to the laws instead of just obstructing or using their positions to try and get high profile people off scott free.

In my and many expert’s opinions the deadly indiscriminate pressure is exactly what pushes desperate and grieving innocent civilian Palestinians into Hamas’s arms. You would create two terrorists for every one caught with the inhumane treatment of the civilian population…and commit a serious war crime in the process.

Israel should abandon all expansionist settlements from the last 30 years and free the Palestinian citizens from the oppressive genocidal apartheid they’ve forced on the population for decades. That would end the conflict tomorrow, instead Israel has telegraphed its intent to take over Gaza militarily and occupy it again…and America stands by their side, but not all Americans.

If America had spent 10% of what we spend supplying Israel with weapons they use on civilians instead on building infrastructure, schools, hospitals, roads in Gaza, the Palestinians would not rightly see us as racist enemies, and might have the resources and inclination to oust Hamas. Palestine gets no aid. You can’t withhold something that never existed. The reason Hamas gets any support is they do supply Gaza with food and medicine while Israel and America just embargo entire populations because a terrorist group lives in the country. I’ve had a few, from the ubiquitous grasshopper to a racing Kyoto 4wd. I remember the old speed controllers not being good at minimum power…a tiny bit of stick and you would hear the controller whine but no movement, a bit more it would shudder a bit but not move, a bit more and it would suddenly jump forward a few inches before I could pull power back to crawl. Tiny precise movement was difficult, at least for me. That was also over 30 years back.
Granted, I was known for only having two throttle positions in my RC driving repertoire…full off (and breaking) or full throttle. My full size off road racing style was similar.
I still think the transition from static to in motion is hard to control at those scales (maybe electronics can overcome that now), and it’s easy to overshoot the needed power, especially in the heat of battle.

I live in Cali, with high grocery and the highest gas, the closest real grocery store is about 15 miles (there’s a market close, but expensive) and we do just fine on under $40k. My wife works over 30 miles away, she burns near a tank a week, I burn about a tank every 2-3 months.
I can’t understand why others can’t do the same where gas and produce are cheaper. I grew peas, beans, and lettuce on my balcony in an apartment in the Bay Area. Most don’t have such only because no one told them they could, and how. Sad, I taught myself and didn’t find it difficult, only a few failures over 30+ years of growing. I had a few years here when I grew at least one veggie for every letter of the alphabet (I think I didn’t have a q).

A real offer would be to let them rent to own at maybe a slight rent increase….they might be able to take advantage of that offer.

The highest prime rates were 21%, unlikely in the near future, but rates are skyrocketing. Now, if you carried the loan yourself, you COULD offer those rates, but a bank never would.
If their kids have cash and are willing to gift it to their parents regularly, and if your family carried the discount loan, it could work.

Sure, sounds simple, but reality isn’t that simple, especially if you don’t have a net worth more than the loan. Year one they would need a minimum of $10k extra to do this if your loan numbers were right, and they aren’t from a bank. Year 2-30 they would need $5k more than they spend now….+ all repairs, tax hikes, interest rate hikes, etc. a great deal to be sure, but not feasible for poor elderly people who will likely lose all their income if Republicans regain power. It more than doubles their housing costs year one.
