Zero Punctuation: Assassin's Creed 2

Yahtzee takes on Assassin's Creed 2
ForgedRealitysays...

Damn you, Yahtzee! I was waiting for this one to come to PC too. (I don't have a console and I don't want one.)

Now it feels like it's going to be more or less like AC1, but while it's fixed all the major issues of the first game, it's introduced the same amount of its own issues to balance it all out. Sad.

I was really hoping for a powerful, hugely-successful-because-it's-fucking-awesome game. I know Yahtzee is often overly critical, but it still sows doubt for me and makes me feel like this one might be a letdown. ((

Well, I still bought it, but I haven't played it yet. We'll see. I actually really liked the first one, even with the repetitive mission structure.

So did I. I played it on PC, and I found it to be a lot of fun going through and doing every single side mission before attempting the plot missions, cleaning out each area of the city.

But the whole thing about it being too easy? And the uselessness of the money system? I dunno. That might be a deal breaker for me right there

There's no way that is Yahtzee, different accent... just... different... is it all a ruse and next week there'll be much merriment as he lists the many posts around the web saying it really was him just with a cold?

Weird.

At times I thought it was him, had his same inflections etc... but then at other times it sounded nothing like him at all.

Several people have mentioned that Yahtzee didn't rip this game a new asshole. There's a reason for that, see.

It's good.

I highly recommend it to people who like single player action-adventure games.

That sounded alot like Not-Yahtzee
Who are you and what have you done with my Yahtzee??

I was finding that to, I immediately stopped the video, there is no reason to watch it.

Or it's because it's not yahtzee.

I'm pretty sure it's the same script regardless of who's reading it. The voice may be different, but the content sounded like it normally does, didn't it? He brought up some good points, sure, but still had what appeared to be some negative points of criticism as well.

Why are people so negative about this review? It's not the first time that Yahtzee gave a positive review. I've been playing it for 4 days now and it's pretty fun.

I think what he failed to mention is that the combat is less boring than 1 as in you can't just counter everyone you see and have a pile of dead bodies at the end. Some enemies have unblockable attacks that requires dodge or disarm, others have long weapons that can't be countered, so you go up close and slit their throat with a grab.

The chases are more fun too because you have fast guards who can run faster than you. It forces you onto the roof which has much less hiding place than before. You're not safe if you hide quickly either. The guards will search the hay stacks around the area you disappeared at by stabbing into it.
