Skyline trailer

It seems like a ID4 meets War of the World thing. Looks interesting.

From ain't it cool news:
"I really dig the shit out of the imagery, but there's no sense of character or story, it is a teaser to show you just how bad life in Los Angeles can be when you treat Aliens wrong - and if Aliens are pissed, they should probably be pissed at Arizona, where they've been oh so welcoming of Aliens. Giggle. Sorry. Couldn't resist, I'm evil that way.
Anyway - are there signs of intelligent life on SKYLINE? Well - it is being helmed by the Strause Brothers who helmed AVP: REQUIEM back in 2007. Since that movie, they've been busy as Visual Effects wizards on a series of pretty spectacular visual effects flicks like BENJAMIN BUTTON, 2012, AVATAR, BOOK OF ELI, IRON MAN 2 and their own film, SKYLINE.

Now the writers on this project, Joshua Cordes and Liam O'Donnell, have no real prior history of writing. I usually find that exciting, because it means something new might be possible.

This seems like a CLOVERFIELD meets the Aliens type of scenario - but I don't know for sure. I'd love to hear more as the trailer is intriguing. Looks like a fun FANTASTIC FEST flick, right?"
ponceleonsays...

2 seconds into this trailer and I'm pissed off... all radio waves leave earth at the same fucking speed, saying that in 2009 we sent out a message further than any before implies that we found a way to send messages faster than before...

Bad science pisses me off...
