Richard Gage lays out the case for a 9/11 Conspiracy

A really good interview with Richard Gage, the news broadcasters interviewing him are respectable and attentive, seeming genuinely concerned with the information he is presenting.

Here we go. Cue the uber-patriots: "So you're saying Bush colluded with the terrorists to kill thousands of people and destroy billions of dollars worth of property?? You morons! Downvote!"

Uh, no. No sane person is saying that. Try to pay attention.

What they're saying is quite simple: "There should be a thorough, independent investigation."

Capice?

The question she asks at 5:04 is something I would expect a theist to ask in theological discussion.

If Al-Qaeda was able to bring explosives and military-grade thermite into the buildings, why even bother with the planes?

Keep it up Mr. Gage.. keep it up. All he asks is for an open independent, thorough, and science based investigation *absent of political influence*. Is that too much to ask? Apparently it is for the US government. The evidence is substantial that something went on. Sure it is exceedingly embarrassing for the US government. It effectively kicks the US, as a nation, in the balls for having such a massive weakness/failure.

If the government, or other powerful US based organization was involved. That is dire for the country indeed. If it wasn't a conspiracy, yet the US government willingly hid the truth for the sake of 'saving face', then that is also dire and goes entirely against all morals. Especially considering that they used the WTC attacks, which they potentially knew as being false, as a premise to initiate wars in not one, but two nations. Iraq and Afghanistan.

Whichever way this goes. Should the truth be revealed, it isn't going to end up positive for the US as a nation. But, with the truth cleared, we can ensure TRUE justice, and the nation will be STRONGER for it.

Simply looking at it in that perspective IS PATRIOTIC. Living blindly and uninformed is NOT FREEDOM.

Well, I agree that no sane person is saying that, Richard Gage is. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Seriously, if he says it's a controlled demolition and the implications of this are really 'dark' because of how secure these buildings are, what is that supposed to imply? Remember that the government's investigation clearly denies any kind of controlled demolition. You can't distance Richard Gage's claims from the argument that very high level officials were responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

Also notice he's moved up his claims from thermite to the much scarier nano-thermite. Throwing the word nano in helps rally in the choir he preaches to.

and more simply, BOOOOOO!

So to sum up bcglorf

Yes it is to much to ask to investigate because his suggestion sounds crazy.

Regardless of any evidence they bring up to try and say it is suspicious it seems that a lot of people just want to stick their fingers in their ears and go lalalala. Then the second you lay out where that evidence may lead they unplug their ears and go "AHA! See sounds crazy!".

I just think it's odd that people can't accept the smallest possibility of this. Governments have done terrible things to their own people before. Do you people with your fingers in your ears really think all the good guys are in North America and all the bad are in the Middle East? (not saying there aren't bad people in the Middle East mind you).

I think part of it stems from people not wanting to be "that guy". You know, the one that suggests something out of step of what is commonly believed. The ones you ridicule usually. You got no balls.

his arguments:

1. it's never happened before
2. no large deformations associated with collapses
3. evidence of 10 key features of controlled demolition
4. bldg 7 falls straight down at freefall speeds
5. 700 "architects and engineers" demand investigation
6. pools of molten iron at site
7. office fires are 1400-1600 degrees, not 3000 degrees
8. iron found in dust which proves thermite was used
9. small chips of unignited thermite
10. "nano-thermite" found which is complex to make
all of these are irrelevant or just plain not true and been debunked over and over and over. i think a lot of people just lost their minds on 9/11 and are willing to believe the craziest thing they hear. it's pretty sad. but this richard gage dude apparently is making money off this by selling books and copies of a dvd and speaking fees. and he is NOT an architect as he claims in this video. so i think he's just a con man.

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that his claim is as simple as requesting there be an investigation. You see, there already was an investigation and it is Gage that is ignoring that evidence and calling it suspicious and sticking his fingers in his ears.

Gage isn't even merely asking for a more thorough investigation, he is making his own claim that the 9/11 attacks were a controlled demolition event. Every piece of evidence he and his type have brought forward has been thoroughly debunked. The official story has been accepted as valid by thousands of trained profesionals in relevant fields. For Gage's story to be true, literally thousands of trained engineers and physicists across the country have to be in on the conspiracy. It also requires a massive coverup effort to hide and plant the explosives initially and to subsequently deny the use of them before all the professional witnesses across the country who know better. Sorry, but it is crazy if you follow it right through and truly test the imagined 'evidence' Gage has brought forward.

>Every piece of evidence he and his type have brought forward has been thoroughly debunked.

Really? Where is this debunking? Where's the explanation for three skyscrappers crumbling to the ground at nearly free fall speed? Why did all three building fall into their own footprints? There wasn't molten steel at ground zero? If there was, how did it burn? I don't think you need to be an "engineer" to conclude the 9/11 Commission Report does a poor job addressing these questions.

bcglorfsays...

Why did all three building fall into their own footprints?
They fell in a downward direction because of the little known force called GRAVITY!
They didn't exactly hit their own footprint too neatly though, as the first two collapses managed to adequately miss their own 'footprints' and hit WTC7 with enough force to cause it's collapse as well. The other hokum like max temperature of a fire and nano-thermite are equally ridiculous, 5 seconds in google will get you good answers to any of them if you really honestly care.

I don't think you need to be an "engineer" to conclude the 9/11 Commission Report does a poor job addressing these questions.

You shouldn't need any degree at all to wonder how the experts that formed and have read the official investigation have missed something fundamental enough that even you as a laymen can easily see it.
