Local Philly CBS News Station Gets a Biden Beatdown

CBS was so embarrassed by the "ambush journalism" they did not rerun the interview on the evening newscast. The station was banned from all future interviews with Obama / Biden.

She gave him exactly the opportunity he needed to set the record straight. This is a SIGNIFICANT POINT that needs to be understood (I've made it myself elsewhere on the sift).. that small business owners need to net LESS than $250 K AFTER tax deductions.. which would mean that they'd have to NET more than that.. more like half a million.. which would mean that such a business would employ more than a few people.

He injected WAY more substance than most politicians do in an interview. I love it. I love that the Obama campaign in general is willing to take stupid rumors and assertions head on. During the debates, Obama wouldn't let McCain's crazy claims (tax middle class, vote against troop funding, etc) stand. He'd always come back to them and rebut them with specific facts. And I love that Biden did it here. No, you're looking at revenue not profits. No, I had business relationships with those companies well before family members were involved and they drew fixed salaries.

From my outside perspective, I find Biden the stand-alone best performer of the election. He appears the most sensible, capable, intelligent and decent of all those standing for election.

Incidentally, I thnk he said "slow down, ol' buddy", not nobody.

Do these marxberals have any other strategies other than the race card and class warfare?

Their tax scheme is the same poop that failed in the 1920s, failed again in the 1960s, and will fail yet again should enough voters fall for it.

On the plus side: Biden wears a flag pin.

I am sorry but this comment is so wrong it is not funny. The amercian economy is not booming like it was in the 1920's. It more like in 1929 at the start of the great depression. You should go study some ecomoniuc history in particlar the great man John Maynard keynes. How was the ecomony saved from the great depression? Through incressed government spending and targeted tax cuts. McCain's policies will not do either of these effectively. He tax cuts at the top end of town will not boost the economy as effectively as those of Obama's. Giving tax cuts to low income people will result in the money being spent in local commmunities, which will directly provide increased revenue for small businesses. The rich are more likey to save the money from tax cuts or spend it outside of the U.S. In short Obama's tax policy is much better targeted than McCain and talk of it being socialist and Unamercian is the real poop.

Major upvote for the Phillies comment. That was great.
He handled that ambush really well. I especially liked the "Whoa, slow down, Nobody."
LOL!

Uh...you need to clean out your ears there dumbass. He said "Whoa whoa, slow down there OLD BUDDY." He did not call the newsman a "nobody". It's dumbasses like you that start shit, and spread lies, through your own stupidity.

I love how the debate on marginally different tax rates between the two is now the main distraction of the day. You can't possibly be serious if you think more money being spent by its earner rather than by politicians who can dish it out like candy because it isn't their labor being lost, is to blame for this mess. Last I checked, the government's preferred method of taxation is just creating new money out of thin air from the Fed's magic checkbook and then lying about how much they're doing it. Inflation has so thoroughly devalued the dollar in which wages and retirement accounts are denominated, and goods are priced, it's ridiculous to focus attention on nominal tax appropriations. But it is election year, after all.

New World Order! Biden doesn't know what he is talking about. Don't let the Obama Ticket win. Seriously.. unless you want to be living in the United Soviet Union of America.
