If I hadn't been so drunk I wouldn't have microwaved my baby

Upvotes mean you are as appalled as I am.

I know. Immediate reaction is to downvote, I totally understand. Upvote to see the mother brought to Justice? I was just so appalled by this I had to post it so I could say that this woman ought to be put away FOREVER. Her not-guilty defense is that she was drunk. There's no defense at all for this!

upvoted as per instructions. but i understand that having a newborn crying can make mothers do some crazy hormonal things. and i would be surprised if they didn't just take that one quote about being drunk out of context to make it more shocking... nowhere do they say she thought that was a good excuse.

death penalty? oh you mean that because killing is wrong, we should kill people?

Downvote for two reasons:

1. upvoting always means you think the video's worth watching, not that you agree with some arbitrary statement by the poster.

2. this is not a great video, it's kind of pointless newsfilter stuff.

" Not murder. Animal cruelty at worst, but hardly a criminal matter. One month old babies aren't people. "

"death penalty? oh you mean that because killing is wrong, we should kill people?"

Well, I didn't say I was for the death penalty, after all. Basically, I meant I sometimes want to be for it after hearing about cases like this, largely due to more base human instincts. Then, for good or ill, reason gets the better of me. But for the record, I don't think all killing is wrong (not even killing carried out by agents of the state). Anyway, I saw the winky-face; I just wanted to make sure I wasn't misunderstood.

"Not that there's anything inherently wrong with eugenics."

Riiiiiiiiiiiggghhhht. <mental note: never vote for gorillaman for anything>

Actually, animal cruelty is often a criminal matter (depending upon where you live).

Eugenics isn't inherently wrong in the same sense that dictatorships aren't inherently bad governments (i.e., an omniscient, omnibenevolent dictator would be the best possible government). The problem with both is that in a world governed by humans, concentrated power is invariably abused.

down vote for raciest heading. dont people get it blacks have been disrespected by so many it responsible to be sensitive to posting harsh words with these kind of images. especially when dealing with black women. have some tact or risk by being seen a white is right kinda gal.

"Eugenics isn't inherently wrong in the same sense that dictatorships aren't inherently bad governments (i.e., an omniscient, omnibenevolent dictator would be the best possible government)."

I understand the word "Eugenics" to mean the activity of genetic modification by way of an organized and centrally planned program which involves--by its very nature--coercion, forced sterilization, infanticide, and the like. There's good reason to think that such programs are inherently wrong even if they produce good consequences (like the elimination of certain diseases). You might be invoking a different definition of the word, but the one I've used is the most common one, and the one most in line with the common connotations.

Also, I disagree with you about the best form of government. Why wouldn't a system in which rational and perfectly moral individuals freely associate be far superior to one in which there was any sort of dictator?
