Farhad2000says...That's why at my work I place my lunch on top of a pressure sensitive claymore.
Julie from Accounting will never be taking my falafels now.
Whitesays...how to detect a lie? more like "how to lie better." thats how i used it anyway...
Aemaethsays...Important note: these methods work best with someone you know because they are all relative. For example, someone who touches their face regularly may touch it more when telling the truth than someone who rarely touches their face when they are telling a lie.
Trancecoachsays...alright, i'm ready. When are the electoral debates?
Fjnbksays...63% of statistics are made up.
MrFisksays...I'm honest and am guilty of all of these - except lying. Nice try assholes.

MrFisksays...25% of statistics are made up on the spot.
sometimessays...in that video, replace all cases of "might be lying" with "is probably a nerd", and it still all applies.
jwraysays...body language / blinking / eye contact is just as inaccurate as the polygraph

dannym3141says...conclusion - next time you speak to an american, believe only 1/10th of what they tell you
9058says...I have to say i disagree with at least half of these, because i do them sometimes even when im telling the truth. A lot of these twitches are signs of just being nervous, which yes you can say could be from lying, but some people just naturally have anxiety in social situations. Or what if someone you find really attractive is questioning you, hell yeah i might be a little twitchy in that situation...wait a minute, thats why girls dont like talking to me, damnit.
farcraftersays...What about looking left for recall, looking right for making things up? Or maybe the other way round.
jwraysays...All alleged physiological signs of lying are baloney. The only way to be sure is to observe the referent of the lie.
jimnmssays...I swear this has been posted before.

This isn't reliable. It's true that the majority of people look up and to the right for visual creation and up and to the left for visual recall, but without a point of reference, it's useless. First of all, a good portion of people have that reversed. Secondly, you can ask someone who you know has "normal" points of reference what color their couch is. They may not "recall" what it looks like but rather create a scene, then place the couch in it. They look up and to right to create the scene. So when they say green, you call them a liar. You will have egg on your face when you go over for a visit.
Eye movement can be extremely useful, but without a deeper understanding of it, it is not only useless but often misleading.
