budzosMink, you mean the driver who was plowing through a stop sign? This wasn't really the pedestrians fault. Even though he went outside the crosswalk, the car that hit him was going to run the stop sign.
jimnmsWatch the other cars, the light turns green before the car got there. I don't know where this is, but the law in my state says that pedestrians always have the right of way.

jmdsays...pmkierst, uhmm, welcome to TODAY..were yes..indeed...intersections all over the world are being video taped. Its actually being handicam'd off the surveillance monitor since exporting it to a normal video medium is probably a pain in the ass.
jwrayIt looks like the kid was deliberately trying to get hit so he could collect the $$$ from a lawsuit. He was looking straight at it as he ran into it. Like insurance, privatized war, and privatized medicine, tort law creates incentives for destruction.
pmkierstsays...Well, jmd, sarcasm aside, that is a reasonable explanation (the handicam part, you might have had a hint I was aware of the surveillance part...), and could also explain the extremely bad quality.
Call me a skeptic is all.
