Guy proposes to girl through a TV commercial

rembarsays...

Well, I'm not usually a big cute-channeler, but this is one I just couldn't pass up. There's this this site called My Super Proposal, which is a blog about how this guy who decided he wanted to propose to his girlfriend on a TV commercial during the half-time of the Superbowl. He asked for help and money over a period of maybe half a year to buy the air time during half-time, but got bumped at the last minute. A bunch of people thought it was a scam or some sort of viral ad. Since the Superbowl ad didn't happen, he bought time during Veronica Mars (his girlfriend's favorite TV show) instead, and proposed yesterday, with the video posted on iFilm today.

Like I said, I usually don't sift cute, but this is pretty amazing.

Y'know, there is something to be said for keeping that moment private and intimate.
Call me old-fashioned.
Or just tactful.

I don't know, Theo47. I certainly wouldn't propose this way, but the guy did put an enormous amount of thought and effort into it, and I thought he did it in as tactful a manner as possible.

In any case, there are certainly many other videos that we could point with much more private moments than this one.

Cool idea... I'm hoping her apparent reluctance is just a result of the shock. I would've thought that if marriage had been seriously discussed at length before the proposal, it wouldn't have been such a shock, but who knows.

She's exceedingly happy, they seem very 'in touch' with each other, this was very cute, very special, and she loved it all.

There are many, many ways to propose, and this was a nice one... it's better than doing it in front of a crowd as others have done, as the actual hearing it and accepting or not is done in private, compared to in front of a crowd.

Good on him, and may he enjoy married life as much as I
