Gays caused 9/11, hurricanes and all evil.....Lewis Black

Religion is based on delusion and fantasy. It surely isn't such a leap for them to connect 'sin', 'god' and '9/11'. Heck, they were fooled into voting for Bush twice. They are surely stupid enough to believe that magic is real as well.

As the "sinful" part of New Orleans (the Old Town) was above sea level, it pretty much escaped the devastation. Looks like God was only pissed at people living in the reclaimed lands and those with beachfront property.

To say that any disaster is "Gods will" is ridiculous IMO. So I wonder, If this guy were (heaven forbid) to suffer a horrible, gruesome death while breaking news discredits his every accomplishment in life and career, would this simply be another "God's will"? Would he think of it as "God's will"? Probably not.

The Mayor of Vilnius won't allow a gay pride march here, so I guess we will escape the apocalypse. Ha ha!

I have mixed emotions about "gay pride". On one hand I believe it is nice to have a great support network for those that are ridiculously oppressed and stripped of freedoms. On the other hand the idea of having pride in something as trivial as being gay is rather ridiculous in itself.

If being gay is not chosen and you are born with it then it is nothing to have pride in. What's next a foot fetish pride parade? OK we get it, you're gay. Awesome. What makes you special? Really what draws the difference between gay people and straight people? It's what happens in the bedroom so there's really nothing there to be proud about. Sure, have a little cuddle party when you get your partner off after a good f*ck but nobody needs to throw a parade for it.

The sooner anybody stops drawing attention to their differences, the sooner everybody will remember that we're all pretty much the same

If you're so concerned about not drawing attention to our differences, stop posting comments. We don't think you're very special either.

When people stop persecuting people for being different first, then perhaps we can all get along like we are all the same. I'd say it's a chicken and the egg issue, but no, it's the persecutors who start these things, not the persecuted.

Enzobluesays...

I often wonder why gays want to 'come out' anyways. They had so much power in the closet, and such a mystique! I even wanted to be gay once just to be part of that loving community.

Edit: This is one of my "just leave it at that and let 'em wonder" moments.

For those of you not Fearing of the living God , and think we who are , are insane, just consider the lessons of history to see if there is really divine intervention in matters of SIN gone wild, take the Roman city Pompeii for just one example, read the following facts.
Walking into homes and shops in Pompeii is to marvel at the fully-intact buildings. You expect to meet the toga-clad owner asking where you are from.

When excavation started in earnest in 1860, scientists were shocked at the level of preservation -- and perversion.

Walls in the town are often covered in sexually-explicit graffiti. If you know Latin, visitors can read who was doing what to whom almost 2000 years ago.

The brothels of Pompeii are open to tourists -- although no longer carrying on business. The erotic frescoes found inside one brothel would make a sailor blush. The two-storey house, called Lupanare, is the top draw in the town. The services offered and a price list was displayed in the street.

The "House of the Vettii" is a luxurious and well-preserved private home not far from the brothel. Surrounding two courtyards, Vettii is rich in decoration and colour. The house looks remarkably like the set of a Hollywood film about Rome.

Finally, head to the town’s forum. In Roman times, it was the centre of public and political life of any Roman city. The large square is enclosed by colonnades and has a spectacular view of Mount Vesuvius.

After a full day of walking the site, jumping back on the train to Naples will be welcomed. Next morning, consider a visit to the National Museum in Naples to view some of the artifacts found in Pompeii that needed to be preserved off site. Also consider a trip to the volcano which caused Pompeii's misfortune -- buses leave from the Naples train station for Mount Vesuvius about once an hour. Don’t worry, Vesuvius is safe now…mind you, they probably thought that 2000 years ago too.
DIVINE INTRVENTION OR COINCIDENCE, THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE !

Memoraresays...

Dear GodFearing,
Don't blame man's stupidity on the Living God.

If you build a city in the shadow of an active volcano, or if you build a city not only =IN= the Gulf of Mexico but also 20 feet Below sea level, don't blame Yahweh God when the constructs of feeble man fail and bring destruction.

To blame/credit the God of Creation with such ignorance and stupidity is blasphemy.
