Obama's Kenyan father was never a U.S. citizen. Thus, Obama is not a "natural born" citizen. When Obama was born he was not a "natural born citizen" since both parents of a child must be citizens at the time of birth of the child in order for the child to be a "natural born" citizen, in addition to the requirement that the child must be born in the USA."

Thanks for knocking that on the head LeadingZero - but it doesn't really help. No matter how much evidence you throw at wingnuts, they will still persist in this conspiracy theory because it's a convenient vessel for their submlimated racism - and yes QM - Xenophobia.

Dag, you are right in the case of the wingnuts of course. Really, the link I provided was not intended to persuade QM, rather presented for others.

Disinformation should be countered. Some people, not necessarily wingnuts, will believe specious claims simply because they heard them repeated somewhere.

If you agree that he was born in the US but not to US citizens (like I do) then you're wrong on the issue of his citizenship. You might want to read ooooo The Constitution, specifically the 14th amendment which states:

"Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. "

You can cut this bullshit seven ways to Sunday, the FACT remains, Baby Barack wasn't born in the USA and has no proof he was born in Hawaii. There's a document right now the State of Hawaii and BHO refuses to release to the public.

Barack's own grandmother freely admitted he was born in Kenya, as does His Excellency Peter Ogego, Kenyan Ambassador to the United States. Something's not adding up.

Obama's birth certificate was verified. He is a natural born US citizen. The birth certificate is not released to public because of Hawaii's own statues against releasing birth certificates on the grounds of identity theft, only family members may obtain a copy. It doesn't look like yours because birth certificates are not standardized nationally.

The authenticity of the birth certificate released by the campaign has been verified by the:
- Hawaii Department of Health based on the certificate released by the campaign. Actually it's director.
- Marriage records from The Cook County (Ill.) Bureau of Vital Statistics
- Employment records from Illinois Secretary of State's office
- Employment records from Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois.
- FactCheck.org conducted its own investigation and verified his status as well.

Similar cases were brought against McCain because he was born in the former Panama Canal Zone which was given back to Panama, thus invalidating him as a natural born citizen. They are just as ridiculous as this. McCain is a US natural born citizen.

Look at the backgrounds of the people pushing forward this garbage, they are all conspiracy theorists. The only thing these people are creating is a selective perception, no matter how much contrary evidence is presented to them.

Think about what it means if he is not a US citizen, it implies a vast conspiracy that involved the Hawaii Department of Health, The Cook County Bureau of Vital Statistics, Illinois Secretary of State, Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois, the entire Obama campaign, the Democratic party, FactCheck.org, numerous journalists across the country, other government agencies all coordinated over the last 40 years to create a false history to cover up the birth of one single man. In case he runs for President.
