i'm keeping this playing on loop. it seems to repel mosquitos.
New full-length Casino Royale trailer
farhad - since you mention it, pierce brosnan was in a number of other movies, notably in this context is "The Tailor of Panama," which i recommend highly. he plays a real-life spy approaching middle age - burned out, coldly manipulative and totally jaded. i found it to be a very interesting characterization of Bond as (evil) anti-hero.

Noah takes a photo of himself everyday for 6 years
umm, i respectfully submit that many of you *might* be looking in the wrong direction (backwards). i'm not thinking of how he *should* have made this, but instead i imagine how mind-blowing this will be when he's 60. it's an ongoing project.
bamdrew, i'm not exactly sure what it is that makes some people boring - usually it's lack of interest. but yours is an interesting comment, because my impression was almost the opposite - i thought whoever made this video probably has some interesting stuff going on upstairs. i mean, we all know about books and their covers, and while the dustjacket may be lackluster these videos themselves are testiment to their creators' ability to think different. that's not boring.
also, i liked the fact he was taking the pics in his natural living environment. it captures organic periods of time - the dorm room, the vacation, specific bedrooms, etc - so there's more information here than just the aging head.
redundant (already posted once): http://www.everyday.noahkalina.com/faq.htm check out his faq page for the video. he's got a few links to similar projects.

Macaca Strikes Again - George Allen STEALS an Amendment!
--At 2:30 PM this afternoon the U.S. Senate began debate of the Department of Defense appropriations for FY 2007.
--Already on the docket was Senator Dick Durbin, who was scheduled to introduce an amendment to the bill providing $19 million in additional funding for the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center program, which provides treatment care and research for veterans suffering from traumatic brain injuries. That meant that Durbin’s amendment had already been written, printed and prepared for introduction by Durbin.
--Yet, before Durbin could take the floor to introduce his amendment, George Allen entered the Senate Chamber and asked for permission to speak before Durbin. When permission was granted ahead of Durbin, lo and behold, Allen introduced an amendment to the DOD appropriations bill that, how could this be, was identical in language to Durbin’s bill with the exception of one word – the word “will” was changed in Allen’s amendment and replaced with the word “shall.” Other than that, the amendments were identical – Durbin’s amendment had been printed and set to be formally introduced, Allen’s bill had not been written or been placed on the docket to be introduced.

Noah takes a photo of himself everyday for 6 years
January 11, 2000 - July 31, 2006.
2356 Days.
This hits me on a few levels, but right now I just want to sit with it, and not stain the experience to too many words immediately.
I suspect this is a dupe, but for the life of me I can't find it on here.
