My wife often calls herself yellow. Here in Japan they refer to themselves and other Asians as 'yellow'. Its not racist to them, it just 'is'. They call Caucasians, literally, 'white person' 白人 , and every black person is 'black person'　黒人, never African American, or African Japanese. I find it grates on me sometimes, until I realize there are no feelings of racism, its just the language!

I'm pretty sure that girl doesn't understand that calling someone 'yellow' could be a seen as racism.

I know shit like this is more funny without the explanation, but here you go.

They were arguing about the origin of an anime character called black jack. The one with long hair is saying he's Japanese, while the one with short hair is saying he's American. The guy at the end can be scanned by cell phones here in Japan. The bar code leads to a site that has another video saying black jack is actually Japanese.

Is it just me, or did this strike anyone else as strange? I've heard it many times, but this time it kind of struck me as odd. The more I thought about it the more it didn't seem so. Does this mean that without marriage, our society would never have started? Or without marriage our society would crumble? Or is it just another way of saying marriage has been around forever so it is ostensibly linked with society?

I wish they would bring it to America, but I doubt they will. They have been doing this kind of crap for ages now. All the contestants are popular comedians and actors usually. I'd like to see some American comedians and actors do this!

I don't know what makes you think this is from Japan, but I don't think it is. The language that is audible isn't Japanese... and none of the people look very Japanese. Not to say the Japanese aren't crazy...

This is absolutely ordinary for WRC cars and happens all the time. I was at one time infatuated with WRC, Subaru in particular. As for the make of the car, the blue and yellow along with the bulging wheel wells seems to indicate a Subaru. That is simply an educated guess. It might be a lower class, but I'm not sure if the lower level WRC drivers would be daring enough to take a jump at such speeds.
