I think it was with the advent of Sift 4.0 that this nasty *quality function was added, and since then it's done nothing but clog up my front page with years-old videos. What is this, a retirement home for youtube? There already exists *promote along with a big old box at the top of the page, why was an alternative needed?

And for the record, if I select to sort by "newness"... the first five videos that greet me range in age from one to four months. That speaks for itself.
