..the award for most realistic gunplay in a motion picture??

Enzobluesays...

What's realistic though? Sounds like they're shooting in a medium sized tin warehouse. Also wouldn't the cops backed off at a point? Realistically they probably would have killed 10-15 innocent passerby, that's a good excuse to just have the copter follow them...

schmawysays...

eh. At least they reload. I saw some calculation for the weight of the ammo used during something like "diehard" and it requires each character to cart a wheelbarrow around with them to accomodate the eighty plus pounds of lead and brass.

choggiesays...

these guys were not about killing anyone, passersby included....not the audio, or the rules of engagement, the shooting of the guns, the what it takes to reload, hold down the forces with manpower on hand in an urban combat situation...this is very believable, to even the trained eye...of course, none of the glaring improbabilities have been pointed out yet, but for shear what for, beats the helloutta most films trying too hard to make it look stupid...

NordlichReitersays...

Well, this is great.

The thing about this whole situation is that every police station should have a sniper on call ready to go at any time. with all the high rise buildings in the area the sniper just has to set up on a first floor, or just get in a good place to shoot. Like Paccino did at the end of that fight, the thing is most people arent trained to shoot anything other than the issued sidearm.

I am going to rent this movie in a bit!
