qadssays...I like how he got her hopes up lol.
wildmanBillsays...I think he went easy on her.
LadyBugsays...*grumble grumble* this was in my queue!!!! welcome to the club, sl666!
Kruposays...Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooouuuch. There's that poetic justice thing. Well, maybe that's not the right term for it, but this is a grade-A example of someone getting pw3nd.
LadyBugsays...how often do you hear a girl that's 'speechless'!?!
transportersays...what a great job that guy has
leeweeksays...OWNT! damn she got OWNT!
HaricotVertsays...Best. Radio. Clip. Ever.
Farhad2000says...PWNAGE!
Lyceansays...Did any of you consider from her reaction that she might not have done it? Amazing to see you're all so happy to see someone else hurt so badly.
LadyBugsays...no, i didn't, lycean ... because most people who are accused of doing something serious that they DID NOT do usually stick up for themselves rather quickly!
calvadossays..."Everyone knows: ye're a dirty li'l tart!"
Baquetasays...When you want someone well and truly pwned, get a Yorkshireman to do it.
archchefsays...That was halerious. I agree that she probably did do it, though I would have loved to have heard her reaction. As ladybug says, if she hadn't done it she would have said something like "what in the world are you talking about" not "uhh uhh umm"
pipp3355says...in terms of libel law, accusing a woman of being unchaste is particularly slanderous. so i suspect the lawyers at the radio station had reasonable evidence before they went ahead with this. well deserved, imho.
arrendeksays...That hurt. Ouch. Ouchy ouchy ouch.
I REAAAALLLLLLY hope he wasn't wrong about his base cheating assumption on that one.
Whitesays...oh My GOD!!! PWNAGE!!!! so is this guy like, the howard stern of britian or summin'?
WolfDemonsays...Eww... Howard Stern for the lose.
nibiyabisays...pipp3355

Also keep in mind that this is in the UK -- no country in the world comes even close to matching the US's litigiousness.
Krazsays...Anyone have a link to more of this?
calvadossays...*promote !
siftbotsays...Promoting this video back to the front page; last published Wednesday, January 10th, 2007 10:03pm PST - promote requested by calvados.
dystopianfuturetodaysays...Ouch!
jimnmssays...The first thing she asks after finding out it's an engagement ring is "how much is it worth?"
calvadossays...I'm rather amused by her gobsmacked, strangled wots after Danny drops the bomb.
Babymechsays...So fake. So patently, absurdly fake.
moodoniasays...Yeah I winced at the "How much is it worth?" too, that guy came very close to disaster.
Zonbiesays...>> ^jimnms:
The first thing she asks after finding out it's an engagement ring is "how much is it worth?"
yeah, thats sad, I noticed that....
Apparently its been a bit debated this one, as the rules for *british radio require consent (you cannot just "pretend" to be someone else) so the offical line is (taken from http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=104a53275d8db2f172afd9fc2dafa272&t=532631&page=2)
Those people who said the whole thing was a fake are right on the money. I have received a letter from OFCOM. The relevant paragraph in their letter says.
'On this occasion, after obtaining a copy of the recording, the station informed us that the recipient of the call was not Angie but a member of staff who pretended to be her in a pre-recorded segment. While listeners would have been unaware of this at the time, as the 'real' Angie was not the recipient of the call we would be unable to consider a complaint about the call being unfair to her.'
so comedy *viral I guess now
Zonbiesays...*british

calvadossays...Ah well, it has poetic truth.
