Wow, beautiful stuff. I'm torn between the convenience of living near large cities and the sheer beauty of being farther removed from all the dead grey concrete in favor of close access to beauty like this.

I have to upvote because I paused listening to Metallica S&M to watch this, which of course, has this track as played by the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra to open the show.

I'd rather be lost in the woods than found in the city...

I've got a 25 minute video of driving this stretch of road about 10 years ago. Instead of Morricone, I used Moby as a soundtrack.

Perhaps I should upload it, and let folks decide whether or not to sift an edited version of it.
