Zero Punctuation: Infamous 2

This week Yahtzee reviews Infamous 2

I just bought this game on Monday and started playing it. It's awesome. They've made improvements on all the slight nuances I didn't care for in the first one. It's rare that a game gets significantly better in its sequel, but they did it.

Just got done with both playthroughs, thoroughly enjoyable. Only real complaint is that aside from one cut scene at the very start, and the ending sequences, there is NO difference at all in the story. In the first one at least the comic scenes were told differently each time, one for each side, but here all you end up with is a different face/tshirt color in each scene. Still a good story, but a bit disappointing in comparison.

Interesting how many of us are compelled to be "good guys" to begin with.

Honestly, despite my clever avatar, I have a really hard time playing the bad guy in video games. So for me, "good guy" from the beginning every time.

Yeah, when it comes to games with good/bad choices I almost always wind up on the goody goody side, or at least the pretty goody side. I think my big problem with being evil in the games where you have the choice is that most of the time the bad options are really only there for the sake of being bad, not because you really have genuine motivation for being bad.
