Zero Punctuation Review: Heavenly Sword and Resident Evil 5

Yahtzee previews Heavenly Sword and Resident Evil 5.

Yahtzee's voice does sound a bit off, but the humor is still dead on. I'm glad he's showing screen caps in his reviews, mainly because video game chicks turn me on. Why can't women look like that in the real world? I've been trying to "res" myself like Jeff Bridges did in 'Tron" for years just to get some digital pooty-poo, but to no avail. I think they'd find my pasty pallor and flabby physique irresistible.

I dont get the "racist" argument. I mean there were countless RE games where shit tons of people die and no one had a problem but now the virus (or whatever it is this time) invades Africa and for some reason people have problems with this. So its ok to slaughter infected...anybodies as long as their not black? Anyone who delves to deep into a racist symbolism here I think is really stretching to find something controversial. I mean they could bring back Carlos to kill them, would that be ok since he isnt white? Problem is he was a weak character and wouldnt make much since bringing him back.

For those asking whether or not he has a cold in this one, the end credits DO say:

"written by a bottle of cough syrup and Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw"

So, very likely yes, he might have a cold...

*edit* to add: P.S. - If some of you aren't reading all that text at the end, you should. It is often some more funny stuff!

LOL, "words that exist" book. The head mashing is awesome. LOL!! Locked hip.

Makes sense that he was sick, considering he said it was written by him and a bottle of cough syrup... which cento pointed out over 5 hours ago... while I was fleeing from a freakin' fire alarm in an airplane hangar.

Zifnabsays...

This is the quote from The Escapist on Ben Croshaw:

"Yahtzee is a British-born, currently Australian-based writer and gamer with a sweet hat and a chip on his shoulder."

Which is why it goes in the British channel as well.

I have a theory as to what the whole twing-twang thing is about. This blog entry says "Kevin and I trade off- I play sword-wielding Nariko and he plays the arrow shooting Kai."

So I assume that "playing twing-twang" means "shooting arrows" in whatever retard language the characters in this game speak.
