I used to follow a buddy of mine on some trad routes and clean his anchors (pull his cams out). I couldn't believe how awful some of them were. They would practically fall out sometimes. saw him take a couple nasty falls too, scary stuff!

Falls near the bottom are usually the worst since you can get to the ground if you've only got one anchor. It didn't help that that guy blew through the anchor anyways

I'm glad those jerks fall off. I'm sick of them climbing up and staring down at us vertically challenged people...buncha jerks buy some running shoes!

Wouldn't have been so bad if they'd brought more than one crash mat! Even the one they've got there is a wee bit on the small side

It's true... I usually get the most sketched out before the second clip; after that there's enough height and stretch in the rope that you probably won't hit the deck on a fall. Not that a 50ft whipper is anything to scoff at! I think the most I've fallen is probably 15-20ft... but I'm also not climbing anywhere near the difficulty (and runout!) shown here.

I've comes close to the ground on older routes falling at the 3rd or 4th bolt.

Plenty of British gritstone videos out there with people grounding out. Pretty crazy.

I never thought this video would do so well on the sift... should have sifted it ages ago!
