DaveyJonessays...I love this video.
daphnesays...I don't get it...I'm WoW impaired. Did someone have a funeral and some players crashed it?

Yeah, I'd like an explanation from A WoW expert as well. I think it's a PVP war, and the one group caught the other at a funeral ... hmm. Something about man's inhumanity to man.
A funeral - is nothing sacred? Is there no place of sanctuary in WoW? I'm shocked.
fugitive_aliensays...a WoW funeral.... that's when you spend too much time online
deathcowsays...I thought ths video was OK, half of it follows someone sent to the funeral, lying in wait, being a funeraler. The other interleaved half is a party coming to attack. As you can see at the end, they clean house!
antsays...Dumb.
thursdayssays...fake-real drama ftw. dag if you're reading this check out this link for a full explaination. http://www.immortalityguild.com/viewtopic.php?t=4394

Thanks thursdays
daphnesays...Ohhhhh! NOW I get it.
I'm not entirely sure what to think. It was callous of them to crash something like that...but then again, it's a GAME. I hate to sound crude, but people die in "real life" all the time. It happens to everybody. Even you. Even me.

sillmasays...Rather funny prank, and if the guys having the funeral think it was crude, they should first think why the hell were they having a funeral ceremony for a real-life death IN A GAME.
Kruposays...Oh, I read about this in PC Gamer - they devoted a page to this - it's quite the scandal.
They had an ingame "funeral" for a girl who played the game a lot and had friends in it - she died in real life, much too young.
As a tribute to her, her friends logged in as her character for the ceremony.
Now, they could've played in a region where people aren't allowed to attack each other (PVP - player v. player), but they chose the place they were in b/c it was her favourite gaming zone - despite the inherent danger. This memorial service was publicized well in advance, though, so the "Serenity Now" clan was able plan its 'terrorist' strike.
The attackers' motive was to encourage more PVP gaming (rather than, say, only attacking computer-controlled enemies); well they succeeded: in making members of their group the most hated in the entire game - people attack them on sight now; sort of an eternal vendetta has been declared on them.
Or so I've read.

Constitutional_Patriotsays...Why in the world would tehy hold it in a pvp zone ... that's just asking to be ganked. I don't play WoW but it just seems obvious to me that would happen.
